Es una ruta bastante sencilla y accesible a todas las edades y nivel de forma física. Si ha llovido tendrá bastante barro, como en todas. El hecho de que sea circular siempre es de agradecer. El bosque es muy bonito, y al inicio de la ruta hay zona de picnic y aseos.

Solid trail. Very well maintained, amazing views (especially early in the morning). The trail is dog-friendly and there are also a lot of joggers and families walking the trail. Something for everyone. There are bathrooms available and ample parking. Open 7am-6:45pm

Beautiful loop that takes you along the Ridgeline on Aiea Trail. Tons of trees and different terrain. Small narrow path was muddy and messy but totally worth the views!

Solid 2+ hours for full 4.8 mile (5mi back to car) plan on getting dirty!

I have hiked my entire life I started the hike around 330pm and with a few stops along the route at a walking pace I made it back around 6pm as the sun was setting.

It rained a few times during the hike trail gets very slippery and muddy! Be safe and have fun!

This is a great loop trail for the novice or advanced. The trail is wide in most areas. The footing is good, even when wet (except for tree roots, be careful). The more advanced can run this trail for a good workout. The views and wildlife (birds) are memorable, watch out for the wild chickens. The rain can make the trail a bit muddy/soft, but that wasn't a problem (except dirty shoes). There is one spot near a picnic bench that is a very short climb, otherwise it's a fun walk (saw a couple of guys in flipflops, not that I would suggest that).

Experienced hiker and trail runner. Had a blast on this trail. The trailhead is at the top of a neighborhood resembling San Francisco with its steep, winding streets. The trail is mostly shaded with many overlooks and spots to stop for scenic views. Parking is free and no charge to enter. There are restrooms at the recreation area and trailhead.

Easy trail through the forest, it's a loop. You walk in the shade most of the time and it is not strenuous. The whole thing takes about 2 hours. Halfway there is a breathtaking view of the mountains with the road in the middle. You will meet a lot of birds, listening to them is a wonderful relaxation. Free parking with plenty of spaces.

Just putting together 3 connecting hikes in Aiea loop into one review and it was a good journey explore this trail and another trail to do next to my families house in Aiea. Aiea loop / Aiea summit / and doing the Kalauao falls has its perks but altogether a good trail to explore the scenery of the H-3 freeway, the forest within the trail, the waterfall below the trail, and crazy thing is that a pig followed me throughout the whole hike to the waterfall wow. If you done the loop here try hike the Kalauao falls but it’s a hard hike due to the decline/incline steep section but once you get down probably no service until you get back up the hill section. Aiea summit another hike to do but hard aswell and longer like 10 miles round trip.

I finished this in a little under 2 hrs barefoot. I was able to run a good portion of it. Great leg and cardio workout with beautiful views and plenty of birds to sing to you.
