I love this place so much I didn’t want to leave. Nick was so kind and such a rad dude. His passion for gaming and ideas are very admirable and fills me with flame. Such a cool environment. This place is amazing. Just moved from the West Valley a few months ago, and it'll be my new go-to place for games. Nick is always such an awesome character every time I come in. Always in such a dope mood and livens up the store with his charismatic nature and bright smile and laugh. Always makes going in and shoppin there all the worthwhile. Will always be a pleasure to talk games and movies! Game selection is always good and there's a gem or two every time I come in.

My name is Romeo and I myself own a video game store in Los Angeles, CA called LA Video Games and I must say as a collector and store owner that this video game store (1 Up Games) is a must visit in your Arizona itinerary!!! The owner, Nick, is very welcoming and his positive attitude will make you feel like you have been friends for life. My favorite part of the store is the flat screen TV right behind the register, advertising ads in which he made that promotes buying, selling, & trading. Nick is so friendly that he will also recommend other video game stores just to make sure you enjoy the video game community of Arizona. My fiancé and I have started coming here a few weeks ago and we think this place is awesome! We have been into collecting the retro games of our childhood and discovering new games- and one up provides us with a great selection to choose from. And as a female I don’t feel judged or treated like I am not welcome, in fact quite the opposite. Every time we have gone in, Nick has been really nice and makes us feel welcome, his customer service skills are top notch. We will definitely keep coming back to add to our collection!

Nick and Tim along with Tim's son who works there now are all very friendly and run a fun store. Nick is a very outgoing individual you can go to just to say hi and end up in a 50 minute conversation with him due to his nice and outgoing nature. Tim the co owner is a little bit more introverted but if you crack the ice he can be a very nice and fun person to talk to as well. In terms of 1up this store is usually stocked up and has games that people want for generally a great price. And also sometimes the owners will be nice enough to give good deals. Just wanted to leave a nice review for a game store I've gone too for a little bit now

Love this place! The owner is super cool and friendly. The place is clean and chill. Overall, it is a dope place to look for retro games and other accessories for your game collection. Me and my buddies stop by probably once a week to see what's new in stock. 11/10 would recommend checking it out!
