Definitely A+ experience! We had Robert as our tour guide for the Yankee Boy Basin tour. He was wonderful, very knowledgeable and pointed out various facts that would be unknown by many.

We got to see historic mine sites, great views of Mt Sneffles and other mountain peaks and the wildflowers! WOW! Just gorgeous. We also got to see Governor Basin which was another amazing, top of the world feeling experience.

I'm so glad we took the tour as the road, although not as bad as I thought, was quite narrow in places with heavy traffic in both directions.

The small waterfalls can make a great background for pictures. We've been meaning to do this trip for years and finally made it. We wish we would have done it earlier.

Almost forgot, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as bear, deer and elk and even porcupines!

Booked two private trips. First was four hours and the second six hours. Our guide Don was a true professional. He texted us when he arrived about five minutes before our departure time. On the way to the trail head Don gave us the history of the town which set the stage for two incredible tours. Through out the trips he explained the geology of the mountains and how they mined. Very interesting. The jeep was comfortable and the driving first rate. The six hour trip allowed us to experience so much. Can’t recommend Alpine enough!

Wow what a fantastic day. We left at 2 and the weather was perfect all day. Jason our driver/ guide was really knowledgeable and made the trip fun and exciting. If you want to experience what the mountains are really like and see the real Colorado take a ride with these guys, you won’t be sorry.

We had the great fortune of having Joe as our guide on a much-anticipated scenic Jeep tour outside of Ouray. Joe guided us away from the crowds and took us on a spectacular trip around Corkscrew Gulch, Hurricane Pass and California Gulch. He was one of the most experienced 4X4 drivers that I have ever seen. We felt completely safe.
Joe pointed out wildlife and stopped at those perfect points along the way so we could take in the spectacular views. His passion for nature and his wanting to share it with others was contagious. We couldn’t quit smiling throughout the whole trip.

We absolutely LOVED our tour along Corkscrew Pass. Joe, our tour guide, was a great conversationalist who kept us engaged the entire time with stories, and facts of the area, and amazing humor the whole 4 hour trip. We would absolutely book him again in a minute. We got along with him great from the first minute, and wished he could have guided the rest of our vacation!

We did the Imogene Pass tour which was 5 hours. It was great! The truck was super comfortable and you could see from any seat. Our guide, Jason, told us of the history and made the experience beyond our expectations. We will definitely go on other tours when back in the area with this group.

We were visiting Ouray for the first time and we came to know about Alpine tours whilst we were searching for local tour agencies. Joe was our guide and we had a blast during the whole tour. The ride took us to Yankee Boy basin and it was magnificent. Joe was a great driver, really knowledgeable about the history of the area and how the different mining communities shaped the Ouray that we see today. Would definitely recommend Alpine tours
