What a gem! My favorite lobster roll in Connecticut so far. Came here on a very hot day but it was comfortable sitting under the tent in their shaded tables and it was so serene by the water. The people and service were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome and taken care of. The lobster roll was perfection and no-nonsense — exactly what I was hoping for with a buttery bun that never got soggy and warm lobster meat caught fresh by the owners earlier that morning. The quality doesn’t get better than that, in my opinion! They also had lobster bisque that day which was creamy, flavorful, and overall just excellent. This place was worth the drive and I would come here again. (Just make sure to bring cash with you!)

The best hot lobster roll in a relaxed, waterfront setting. The lobster was fresh and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of butter on a perfectly toasted bun. Friendly and fast service without feeling rushed.

We ordered a Lobster Roll and a Lobster Grilled Cheese
(I don't remember exactly, but the total was slightly over $50).

I'm not a native New Englander, so my opinion on lobster rolls may not be the best guide. However, I have had quite a few rolls that I didn't like over the years, even some along the coast. I prefer Connecticut-style over Maine-style because I think cold temp + mayonnaise is such a disservice to the beauty of a lobster.

That said, I also have had several CT-style experiences where I wasn't a fan, and the roll fell short due to insufficient lobster, butter, or the bread was too dry. Generally, I don't expect to fill up on a lobster roll, and often plan to hop to another place to do so.

Here, that was the case -- I could have scarfed down two lobster rolls and have an appetite for another appetizer -- however, I was so happy with these that I didn't want to eat more/overwrite the pleasant memory I had with this.

The lobster was sweet, light, and tender, having taken up some of the flavors from the grilling. The bread was the right amount of crispy, fluffy, and buttery.
As for the grilled cheese, despite having the top sandwich layer, I was still able to appreciate the flakiness of the lobster bits with the aforementioned characteristics. Meanwhile, the cheese was perfectly melted with a rounded mouthfeel, and not overly heavy. It was actually one of the more pleasant grilled cheeses I've had in a while. Although there was some butter juice from either one, they were not greasy, and I rather shed a tear when I got to the last bites. It was overall a light meal that was very satisfying to eat.

The man cooking these was very kind and accommodating too (thank you so much!). We would have stayed to eat on the pier but it was too windy and cold, so we ate in the car. Otherwise, the view is so pretty.

Spectacular!!! Everything here is fantastic. Sean was our server- friendly and fast! What a view- beautiful marsh and Guilford Harbor and we saw a fishing boat come in. The food is amazing. We had shrimp cocktail. Huge shrimp and tasty flavorful cocktail sauce. The lobster rolls were PACKED with perfectly cooked lobster meat. It was definitely more than 4oz. Served warm on a perfectly toasted bun that stayed crisp and never soggy. Free parking. Table service- fast. Picnic tables. Shaded and spacious and clever garbage bucket hanging on each table. Great value and our new favorite place for Lobster rolls in the area. The best by far.

Excellent patio, dock, and water view location. The staff is friendly and the food is outstanding. Had my first Lobster Roll when we arrived in Connecticut a few days ago, decided to have another before heading back to California. Always heard how good they are here in Connecticut. A Lobster Roll, Potato Salad, Rhode Island Chowder, and Shrimp Cocktail makes for an awesome lunch.

Best warm lobster roll I have had throughout New England! Parking is a bit tight. I was informed by staff that it is BYOB, so be sure to not miss that. Dock seating with a nice view. Items are à la carte but reasonably priced. Be aware that they are cash only but have an ATM.

Food is good - one of the better lobster rolls in the area, BUT it’s cash only and they don’t have a working ATM. The seating is outdoor only - which is fine unless you have a biting horse fly infestation - which they have. Four days later all four members of the party who dined have giant welts from the bites we got.
