Even though it’s called a museum, it is a full activity based location. Kids get to play and interact in all the section like playing with optics, X-ray and lights, digging fossil, dancing with laser images, shooting balls with water pressure. There’s an outdoor area as well where they can play with foam structures and liquid bubbles.

I liked that all items were working fine and well maintained. Waterproof aprons were kept available in water play area. At times associates were doing on the spot activities like coloring CDs, showing science experiments with color.

They have a large cafe with decent food options. Restrooms are clean and kids friendly. Excellent place for any kid to spend few hours.

We stopped here on an RV trip, so my son (5) could finally run around and touch things. Everyone had a great time. Each room was tons of fun. My son spent most of his time in the energy lab or dinosaur room. We would definitely go back.

This is my first time visiting here, and my child loves it. The staff are so kind, and the facilities are clean. I truly believe this is the best place in Connecticut. I lost my wallet here, and manager and Maria helped me find it. Since this is a place for children, the environment is important, but the staff is just as crucial, and everyone here is friendly and amazing. My first visit was such a great experience that my friend and I signed up for a membership. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Amazing space for my twins toddlers (3 years old) We didn’t get to all the exhibits. Will definitely go back. Water play areas was great—do be careful floors get wet. Fossil area was fun. There’s a whole multimedia section in the back with a green screen. The tot area is fun too. We noticed a birthday space as well. Food wise the cafeteria has good food. The pizza was solid, wraps, chicken nuggets. I would say “no” to burgers. It’s nice for the kids to play in the outdoor area while eating there.

I’m giving a 1 star. Why change what was there before. I literally used to bring my kids every other day. They completely changed everything. I haven’t been there since 2019 but why remove all the construction building and rocks and those little areas of blocks and building stuff after covid happened. Even taking pictures in this little area with a tv and they had tables and a station for cutting papers and crayons. Just everything removed to put just 5 little circle things in the middle of the area, which made it look like some science fair geared to older kids and not even the little kids anymore. I won’t be going anymore even my kids didn’t like it as much anymore as they knew it was, when they were little.

Update 2024: I’ve been a member here for many years, but feel like this place is getting more and more crowded. We went a few weeks ago and it was just insanely crowded. We could barely play because everything was packed. I wish they’d require reservations or something to do a bit of crowd control..

Super clean and nice! I loved the toddler and the energy / water area! I’m of the mindset that kids should be doing more physical / mechanical things and less tech, so I appreciate all the physical toys, balls, and water play . 🙂
