This golf course is very nice and clean the staff are also very nice and always try to find you a tee time. The golf course is so beautiful and the community is so friendly. Riverhall is the best country club I have ever been to and the golf carts are so advanced. Riverhall keep up the good work.

Was excited to play here and expectations were high with how pricey it is.

I got here and had to get some balls since i was out. They charge $50 for a pack of Srixon balls which left a bad taste in my mouth right off the bat. It didn’t end there tho. I come out of the clubhouse to my cart to get ready to go to the first hole and in my cart is someone’s used cup and used scorecard. As i see this, i am being rushed by the starter to get to the first hole as i am having to clean up the cart for them. The starter came two times to tell me to get to the first hole so I’m not holding anyone up.

After getting to the first hole on time - the starter comes again to tell me to put my hat forwards and tuck my shirt in. I’m not sure why this is necessary at a course that doesn’t even clean your golf cart for you.

So after paying a premium price to play at this course, a premium price for balls, cleaning up my own cart, and rushing to the hole - i have finally started my day of golf on a terrible note.

After playing the first 3 holes - i knew right away that i got absolutely robbed with how mediocre the course conditions were. Brown spots everywhere and greens were nothing to write home about.

On top of this course being sub-par - they over book the course so that the course is backed up and your waiting long times to hit every hole and have people playing up your back.

The only reason I gave this place a 2 star is because the back 9 is the nicer half of the course and feels like you’re getting robbed less.

Will never touch this course again in my life.

After being a member at River Hall for the last year, I've decided to finally do my own review. Where oh where to start. Don't join River Hall if you are interested in golf. The course has been going downhill the last year, with pretty much every fairway having giant spots of dead grass that seems to be spreading. Did you hit your ball in the fairway? It's gonna be coated in mud. Just missed the green? Congrats, you ball is coated with mud again. The severe lack of grass means no matter where you land, mud. The greens themselves are in decent-ish shape, if you like putting over divots. I know golf has a Greens In Regulation stat, at River Hall it's called Browns In Regulation. The bunkers are raked 50% of the time, usually just enough to pile up a bunch of sand on the the bunker walls to give you a nice plugged lie. Half the bunkers have sand, half are windblown out. Chipping around the greens is a chore in itself, since you will be chipping off the thinnest grass you have seen, but that seems to be a Florida thing, River Hall just amplifies it up. I've already heard the "well, River Hall gets a lot of play" argument, which is pretty lame. If you are getting so much play, then take the revenue and reinvest it into the course. Won't happen, IMO, the GM is too concerned about his bonus, not the course. In the year I've been there, nobody has ever seen the GM on the course, he doesn't care enough to even look at it, too much bother apparently, it's easier to sit in an Ivory Chair and send out emails about food and beverage prices going up, but no money being put in the course. Then there is dirty little secret they don't want to tell you about when you are forking over your $5000 to become an Invitational member...River Hall will be changing ownership in Dec of 2025. Hampton Golf is allegedly turning over ownership to the members that live in the River Hall community, per their agreement. They also don't tell you that because of the change, there is a good chance you can be kicked out, as an Invitational member. To me, that is borderline unethical, take someones cash to join a club, but not telling them that there is good chance they will get kicked out, just for being an Invitational member, and not living in the gates. Once again, it's all about making that bonus check. So here is the question I find myself asking, if Hampton golf is turning over the ownership and operation of the course, do you really think that they will invest money to keep the course in good shape? Would you want to invest money into a house that you have to give to someone else, for free? I'm guessing no. I'm also guessing that what will most likely happen is the Operating Budget will keep getting slashed, leaving the Head Superintendent with no cash to do his job, which means the course will continue it's slow death until Dec of 25, so when the members take over, they will need to turn around dump gobs of cash into the place, just to make it decent again.

What else....The driving range is pretty much hitting off of dirt, which if you think about it, it does help to prepare you for crap lies you will find. I'm not sure who sets up the range, but I know multiple members that have asked them to space the range spots out a little. When you try to get loose, you will feel as if any swing is going to hit the person behind you in the head. The three Par 3 holes are actually decent, and oddly enough, the best greens River Hall has to offer. The Members range isn't in much better shape, although they did just put in the effort to make it a little bigger tho. Keep in mind if you join, the members are basically second class citizens to the snow birds and their money, it's all about keeping them and the public shelling out $140 to play this place, but there isn't money to reinvest.

The workers are RH are all friendly and nice to deal with, most have smiles every day.

After living here for a year, I can confidently say that joining River Hall has been my greatest regret in Florida. Do yourself a favor and play somewhere else.

What River Hall Country Club lacks in lakes, ponds and water hazards it makes up for it with amazing bunkers, and Oakmont-like greens. I've been wanting to play here for months and finally got a round in before all of the snowbirds arrive. This is a challenging course designed for players with a great short game. Be prepared to experience gravity-defying putting surfaces.
