My buddy and I decided to do the Weekend Warrior course and it turned out to be perfect for us. We learned the essentials to wilderness survival, including rules for if you get lost, how to build a proper fire, priorities of survival, where and how to build a shelter, purifying water, plant foraging basics, and many others. It is an intensive course that packed a lot of great info in a well-structured course that Steve has fine-tuned over the last 10 years. The course will keep you busy! I highly recommend anyone to attend, whether you're a hunter or only like to day-hike once in a while. Steve has been doing this a long time and we could tell he truly loves it. There are a few choices in the area, and after a lot of research this was the perfect class.

What an adventure! The instructor Steve is experienced and more importantly hospitable! From the moment my husband and I arrived we knew we had chosen the right school. We learned countless invaluable skills that would keep us alive in a survival situation. Learning the art of starting a fire with the resources around us was probably the skill I found most fascinating. Being around like minded individuals made this trip even more memorable. Campfires, laughing, learning, teamwork and taking a break from reality...what more could you ask for? I am truly grateful I had the opportunity to do this and I cannot wait take another one of Steve's courses with my children. Steve, thank you for taking the time to pass on your expertise and making sure as a group we were all able to comprehend. You're an amazing teacher!

If you want to know all there is to know about surviving in the wilderness, I definitely recommend North Florida survival. Steve teaches you what to do in case you get lost, what plants to eat, how to build a shelter depending on the weather and temperature, how to make fire, how to collect, purify and/or filter water. He is an amazing instructor, very knowledgeable, respectful, has a sense of humor, very down to earth, and will answer all the questions you have, take the time to make sure you understood and remember everything he taught you.
If you have never done or experience this kind of adventure he is the perfect instructor and if you have experience he definitely knows how to challenge you if that's what you need. This is the best therapy I have ever received! I definitely recommend him!

Wow! For a taste of survival experience I highly recommend the weekend trip. Steve (your guide) will teach you how to make a fire, a spear, an A-frame shelter, what plants are edible, among a host of other survival tips and techniques. Steve is hospitable, informative, and will build a team of you weekend warriors without you even knowing it!

Coach Steve has such a wealth of knowledge and packed so much into 4 hours. We had kids ages 6-10 this morning for a survival course and he was so great with kids. He covered shelter building, water filtration, edible plants, fire starting and search and rescue. The kids got a lot of hands on experience and had a blast doing it. One of my daughters wants him to come back every forest school Tuesday! We will definitely be doing this again.

Did the Weekend Warrior trip last weekend and had a phenomenal time. Coach Steve was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly answer all questions I had. Great group of people, great campsite and excellent food was provided! Can't endorse this class or North Florida Survival enough! Excited to come back!

This is a survival course ready for any and all. Coach Steve was there for every step of the way. He would instruct and ensure retention by each individual. I really loved his style of teaching and keeping everyone on task. Every individual has some one on one or small group learning, this allowed everyone to be able to see others accomplishments and defeats. Not one person was left behind on any one of these many lessons. I would say any age or level should look no further because of the different levels and diversity of the course, you will walk away knowing. Even silly little questions get answered. Just a heap of fun and learning. I had a blast and look forward to doing this many more times. I was shocked in the small and large details, from food to knowledge. This adventure was amaze balls! Thank you for what we learned, ate, conversed, retained, built, and anything else I may have missed. Until our next weekend

This was the first time my girlfriend and I have ever done anything like this, as we are avid with outdoor adventures learning survival was something we wanted to deep dive into. Steven was super knowledgeable, helpful every step of the way and the dad jokes weren’t too bad either 🙂 We learned how to track animals, build a camp, make spears, creating different types of fire, how to source drinkable water and many other things, we definitely plan to take more of his courses to become better versed in survival! Thanks for making this a super memorable experience!
