We had a blast! My husband, my dad, I flew with Paul in separate sessions. It was a great intro to PPG and the exhilaration of flying. He was a great instructor, helpful, and insightful. We definitely are pumped to explore more about PPG and get more of our friends and family up in the air. Really appreciate it, Paul!

It's probably fair to say Tucker Gott and his YouTube videos are mostly responsible for getting me pumped up about making my dream of PPGing finally happen after 20 years. Probably also fair to say Paul Czarnecki at PlanetPPG is responsible for deflating that same dream. You do learn a lot in ground school ( in a 12 ft ? trailer... no real facility ) and we did tows, which were cool, but Lake Suzy Airport is also only a grass strip in a fly-in community. I think this is one of the reasons Paul is hesitant to actually get you in the air ( no sprawling airfield... lots of obstructions ). Neither I nor my 2 classmates ever soloed as far as I know and I kept in touch with them for months. Included in the price is the ability to return and fly when conditions are 'right'. Sounds great, but actually not so appealing unless you live in the West Central Florida area and have a fairly loose work schedule. My drive was 300 miles one way. I took the course in Oct 2018 and returned a month later to still not fly. After hearing the horror stories of one of my classmates who lived closer and returned several times to still not fly... I decided I was done. If you have to travel any appreciable distance to get to Port Charlotte, I would highly discourage enrolling. If you live nearby and don't have many demands on your time... go for it.
