I didn't really like it much but they have several different rooms to choose from. I think my family just picked a bad one. I think I would try again in a different room so I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it.

aiden was the sweetest ever ? thank you for making my birthday experience unforgettable. the place looks small but trust me, it's deceiving. the room I did was the Melbourne asylum, 3 clues max (but if you ask for more they still help you haha) 32 a person is so so so beyond worth it, will be coming again ?

Madison definitely not qualify as a game master,unfortunately, she is killing the fun, repeating the rules, and not willing to help. That is not why we go to an escape room. She must be trained to be more customer oriented and friendly. (First time giving one star for an escape room)

Whenever I visit family in Melbourne, we love doing escape rooms together and typically visit the downtown location. We’ve had wonderful experiences at the downtown location and decided to try the West Melbourne location. Never again. We showed up 5 minutes early (not as early as we would have liked due to traffic), and no one was there to greet us, but we scanned the QR code and started working on our waivers. The game “master” came out a few minutes later and let us know where the restrooms and lockers were if we needed them. There was no sense of urgency conveyed, and she did not mention that there would be a bathroom penalty (I am pregnant but would have rather held it than lose 25% of my investment). After we had taken 5-7 minutes to complete the consent forms, use the restroom, and use the lockers, the game “master” tells us there will be a penalty for showing up late, and does not tell us what the penalty will be. We were never offered the option to have the rest of our party start on time, and those needing to use the restroom join later either. She then takes her sweet time telling us what not to do, how to open each lock, etc. and tells us not to start looking around the room until after the video has finished. Once the clock starts, she takes a 15 minute penalty, giving us only 45 minutes. During our welcome, the game “master” said she would nudge us throughout the experience and help guide us along the way. This did not happen. We didn’t escape, and when we asked if she could tell us what was missed or how close we were, she refused. We did Shipwrecked, which was advertised as “starts in the dark,” but the entire experience is lit by only Christmas lights and flashlights. We went with elderly relatives who are low vision & did not feel like they got $30+ out of their 45 minute experience. I work in customer service and all new employees have a learning curve. I highly recommend incorporating basic customer service principles and soft skills training into your new hire training program going forward.

I was with the person who recently posted about her negative experience. I waited to post a review in hopes the business would reach out to us to at least understand how they can potentially make changes for future customers, but we have not been contacted.

As the previous review mentioned, we were all very disappointed in the customer service provided. It should also be noted this occurred at 3:30 on Friday afternoon, when we arrived there were no other groups in the lobby, and when we left there were no other groups, it was not a situation in which they were fully booked and had no flexibility. Being late is our fault, and we would have understood a slight time penalty, however this situation would have been completely different if when we arrived the "game master" told us 1) there'd be a penalty and 2) if she even tried to get us into the room as soon as possible rather than not informing us and us wasting more time using the restroom/lockers and seemingly waiting for her to get started.

It was also disappointing reading another review where it said the game master gave the group a few extra minutes at the end to walk through the final steps, when our "game master" refused to give us any information besides that we didn't complete it.

Like we said we've been to the downtown location many times and have had great experiences, however, after this we will be looking into other escape room companies for the future.
