Ryan is a true surfer through and through; he exudes kindness, passion and patience for his students. His love for surfing is decades old, and all he desires is to pass on his love and knowledge of surfing so that others may find the same joy.

He’s driven to teach anyone who is willing. His humanity and talent is evident within moments upon meeting him.

Ryan’s excitement for surfing is infectious; his teaching style encourages success quickly. My son cannot wait to ride a wave again.
As a father, I felt so much pride seeing my son enjoy what I have loved in my youth. My appreciation for Ryan has no words.

Ryan is amazing to work with
It was more than a lesson...we met a new friend. The kids can't stop talking about the experience. As I tell my friends Ryan gave it at least 150%. My kids were standing by the end. My son who wanted to give up took the kind words of encouragement from Ryan and did it!!! He was so excited. Ryan gave so many words of encouragement making the kids successful. Just book it ....you will be so happy you did! The key to a good business is loving what you do.....this truly is heard felt and seen thru Ryan's surf lesson. Give this an A++++++++++++

Ryan was awesome! I planned a last minute trip with my boys and Ryan couldn’t have been more helpful, patient or attentive! He found the best time of day for good surf conditions, sized our boards for us and gave us 2 hours of lessons with the best encouragement. Best part is we all caught some waves and my boys are hooked!

Huge shoutout to Ryan Ragan with Vast Oceans Surf and SUP School / Shop. My son wanted to try a surf lesson, so we signed up for family surf lessons at the last minute. Ryan was fortunately able to fit us in.

My 9-year-old daughter showed up to the beach in full-on tears. She was absolutely terrified to try surfing. Ryan prepared, coached, and encouraged her so well, that she ended the lesson with a ginormous smile and was ready for her next lesson!

He also helped me get a headstand on a surfboard!!!

Thanks, Ryan, it was an unforgettable experience!!! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our lesson and we will be back. I highly recommend Vast Oceans Surf and SUP School.

Just an amazing teacher - ryan is incredible in motivating and teaching you the best skills. He is mor only a surf instructor, he lives for surfing, loves it so much and I’ve never mer another surf instructor who’s biggest goal and happiest moment is YOU catching the wave ! Thanks Ryan !!!

I had the best time! Ryan is a very enthusiastic, passionate, and patient instructor. He took the time to schedule our lesson for the best time of day to catch some waves and even stayed extra to make sure we had the chance to give it a try on our own! Ryan was fantastic!! We made a reservation months ago and he has been very communicative with great follow through. He taught my Kansas girls to surf and they had a great time!! So glad we went with this surf school instead of a bigger surf shop because his experience, knowledge and eagerness to make sure we had an awesome experience were unmatched. Completely unforgettable!!
