We had an amazing time riding swincars! The staff was over the top friendly when we initially had to reschedule due to weather. Patrick was our guide and was such a great instructor and leader. He had lots of great information to share about the area. The cars were comfortable and easy to learn before hitting the trail! We can’t wait to go back.

This was, hands down, the best experience we had in Chattanooga. Our guide, Patrick, was so patient and friendly and explained everything so thoroughly to us. He stopped along the trail to tell us the history and explain what we were seeing and the trail is just absolutely breathtaking. You will not be disappointed! We wanted to ride around for another several hours!

I booked the 90 minute Swincar tour for my birthday while visiting Chattanooga and we had a blast! It was way more fun than I had anticipated!

Jacob, our tour guide was great! He assessed our driving skills throughout the tour and adjusted the pace accordingly. We finished the tour earlier than
normal (he said we were one of the fastest groups) so we were able to have more driving time on the way back. There was only three of us plus Jacob. We lucked out being the only group to book that day, so we essentially had a private tour.
They provide extremely helpful info prior to your tour once you’ve booked. Strongly recommend sunglasses or even goggles if you have them. I had my own sunglasses but the dirt kicks up with intensity through out the tour and will get into your eyes through the sides of your sunglasses. Definitely bring a bandana or a face mask if you don’t want dirt all over your face or in your mouth and nose. I wore a face mask and was fine. Long sleeves and long pants are highly advisable due to a chance of ticks, plenty of dirt & the sun. i wouldn’t bring anything with you on the actual tour other than your driver’s license, tip and an inhaler if you have asthma. If you have allergies you may want to take some allergy pills prior to the tour that won’t make you drowsy. If you have clothes with zip up pockets, wear those so you can stash items on hand. Closed toe shoes are required for safety. I would wear sturdy shoes or hiking shoes/boots to really protect your feet if you already own ones. I wouldn’t necessarily go out and buy some just for this tour though. Sneakers are fine. The swincars are climbing beasts! They have some powerful throttle going uphill so keep that in mind when you’re riding behind someone. On the flats I went full throttle and I was ok. There’s one of the many bends and turns (near cliffs/drop offs) that is super sharp & steep that you need full throttle. Trust me you will feel the power going uphill, when you hit the throttle it will buck forward. Steering takes a little to get used to. As instructed prior to driving, don’t over correct when turning, just bringing the steering wheel to neutral will do the trick without causing you to fishtail if you were to overcompensate. During the tour you will make several stops to learn about the floral and fauna and some history.

If you book on a Sunday, Reflection Riding Arboretum is closed. The tour guide will be wearing a bright orange shirt and will open the gate 15 minutes prior to the tour. Be sure to use the bathroom BEFORE arriving at Reflection Riding Arboretum as there are NO available bathrooms open. The closest bathroom from there, that is open on Sundays are the ones at Ruby Falls about a 10 min drive away.

They offer a 60 minute or 90 minute tour. The 1pm tours are the 90 min tours & the 3pm tours are only 60 min. You have to be 18+ with a driver’s license to do the tour.

We scheduled for 3pm and they asked us to come at 2pm instead. That was fine with us but the directions once you get to the arboretum aren’t really clear. There aren’t any signs out there that we saw that lets you know you’re going in the right direction. The guide in the service center isn’t affiliated with adventure sports so he was less than helpful trying to point us in the right direction. In the summer looking around isn’t as bad but we were cold. We called the number on the waiver and she ended up texting us the guides phone number, so we could find him in the park. When we first tried to call him, it went to voicemail a couple times, and then finally he called us back and was able to point us in the direction to where he was. When we got there we were greeted by our guide, Gavin. He was really nice and informative. We started the trail ride in about four minutes in Gavin’s swincar started to die, so we went back to get him another one. We waited a few minutes and then went back on the trail and about 14 minutes in, Gavin’s replacement swincar died. So he had to resume the tour by riding on the back of the other couples swincar. I want to give full, kudos to Gavin for completing the tour with us, and still being in good spirits. No shade to him at all. It was just disappointing for both of his cars to have died, he mentioned, maybe the team from the night before not having charged them to finishing their shift. When Gavin was on his own swincar he was pausing and giving us information along the way. Once he was on the back of the other couples car it was just a straight through ride. Not even sure we got the full hour because we lost time twice and it takes about 10 minutes to go over all of the instructions. It was a beautiful trail but it would be nice to experience it again without the interruptions, but not at our expense.

Swincars are an amazing experience. Our guide Jacob was very knowledgeable about the cars, trails and the forest. He pointed out many types of trees. I recommend coming in the spring before the trees produce their foliage. We could see all the way down to the river from the top of the mountain. This was an epic adventure. I highly recommend trying it. You will not be disappointed.

Great customer service and good equipment! I recently reserved 2 E bikes for my husband and I to explore Downtown Chatty and we had a great experience! From the time of booking, everything was smooth and simple. They even offer a digital map to help you understand where your able to travel on the bikes. The day of our reservation, Kiefer, was exceptional! He explained how to use the bikes, was super friendly and accommodating. He really provided a 5 star check in experience. Customer service was great from the time of booking. The bikes road great and we had an awesome time.

Jacob, our guide, was great. Super easy going and patient with our daughter on her first ever off road venture on these Swincar’s. They handle differently from anything I’ve driven before. Plenty of torque on these trails up Lookout Mountain. The scenery for our trip at Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center was gorgeous with mild temperatures, partly cloudy and breezy among the trees.

We had Clark as our adventure guide and he was outstanding. My wife and I chose the mini Segway and he helped us get comfortable while at the storefront then got to ride around all the icon spots of chatty. We never felt rushed and had a great safe and fun time. I highly recommend it!
