The Marina at Lake Blackshear Resort - Cordele, Georgia

This is the first year we’ve decided to keep our boat at a Marina. We were torn between Lake Sinclair and Lake Blackshear as they are about equal distance to our house. Blackshear is a little closer and we were willing to sacrifice lake size if the situation was right. Well, as soon as we talked to Letisha (if I spelled your name wrong I’m so sorry) we were absolutely sold on The Marina on Lake Blackshear. She was absolutely amazing getting us set up with a slip and doing it in a friendly and professional way. We simply paid a deposit and started on April 1st. When I arrived to put the boat in, she explained everything I needed to do and we had a very friendly conversation. Couldn’t be more satisfied with the service, location and condition of the slip. Keep up the great work and we are looking forward to dealing with you this summer.

Side note, the weather was horrible the day before I actually put the boat in the water but I wanted to do all the paperwork the the day before to avoid a back-and-forth from Marina to boat launch. I knew I should have called prior to driving down, but I didn’t (my fault). When I arrived the marina was closed due to weather. I went inside the restaurant to ask if that was why and met the chef/manager who was a GREAT guy. He went above and beyond and called the Marina manager and made sure she would be in Easter Sunday before I drove back down. Seems like everyone (employees) at the marina and restaurant are phenomenal!

Interested in renting a boat for a few hours. Call to reserve, we were told to just come and they would take care of it when we arrive. They mentioned the boat would have to be returned by 4:30pm. So we arrive at 2:15 only to find out you have to sit through a class and watch a video, then it would take them some time to prepare the boat. All of which would inevitably leave us maybe an hour on the boat before having to return it? Not worth it. Poor communication on their part. Also the place is difficult to find. The marina is further away from the lodge where you have to fill out all the paperwork. Poorly planned and not well thought out. Would suggest some place else.

What amazing customer service, everything from reservations to check-out on the pontoon rental was a pleasant experience. We did have an issue with the pontoon having some old gas in it's lines but the responded and corrected the issue in a timely and professional manner which made it bearable and they seemed genuinely apologetic for something they can't control. Any boat owner knows it happens from time to time.

We did a boat rental here. While the people and facilities were very nice, the actual boat I don't think did more than 10 miles per hour and the radio didn't work. It was still a very nice day out, just left something to be desired.

My husband and I brought his grandmother and Great Aunt to lake Blackshear as they grew up on the lake here. My husband went down to the marina right after it rain and they told him they weren't renting the boats out in anymore because of the storms they saw on the radar. About 45 mins later I decided to call and see if they were renting out anymore today because the sun was shining and the skies were blue. The lady who answer the phone at the marina said they were all booked up. But when my husband was down at the marina they told him they had boats to rent out but because of the storms they were done renting out for the day. The lady on the phone couldn't answer my question when I call her out on phone ask why when my husband was there they said they had boats to rent but it was raining.She very rude and we will not be coming back. I cant stand when someone who lies to me .
