Positive: "" Negative: Staff (couldn't get refill on juice machine, sleeper sofa was filthy and drug pipe or something was found in the sofa also sofa was not made). Did not make stay comfortable or welcoming.

Poor check in experience the front desk clerk was extremely rude. The toilet tissue holder in the room was not properly secured. The thermostat had a broken door on it. All in all, this hotel is subpar from what most IHG experiences are.

Hotel Inn Express Douglas gets FIVE thumbs up!! Marquetta came to my rescue when I came to Douglas to help with Hurricane relief (DSNAP) for Coffee county residents and employees and discovered I was hotel "catfished" and left stranded with no accommodations. I was TERRIFIED having drove almost 4 hours to get here to help the residents and started sobbing when Marquetta answered the phone. After explaining my situation, she placed me on hold and apparently worked some magic because this hotel as well as all others were SOLD OUT! I pulled up to the parking lot as I drove by faith while she still had me on hold. By the time I arrived, she came back to the line and found space for me. When I walked in, I started crying again and she met me with a smile. I am sooooo grateful for Marquetta's compassion and for caring enough to go above and beyond to help me. I came to Douglas make a difference in the lives of those impacted by the hurricane, but Marquetta TREMENDOUSLY made a difference in mine!!! High Five, Holiday Inn, for hiring her. She is more than an employee. Marquetta is an AMAZING human being!!! The hotel was great as well. No complaints whatsoever!

I was a little upset with their check in policy, but staff was extremely friendly and easy to work with. Breakfast was ok, not a fan of egg white omelets but the bacon and sausage gravy were good. Also, they charge a $75.00 deposit for "Incidentals", but you must pay for any drinks or chips separate, so basically it is just a damage deposit and not for incidentals. Not a big deal just not very honestly explained.

Whether it was providing local recommendations, or simply offering a warm greeting in the hallway, the staff made me feel valued as a guest. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident and greatly enhanced my stay.

Now, let's talk about the wifi. In today's connected world, a reliable and fast internet connection is essential for both business and leisure travelers. While the hotel's wifi was acceptable, it fell short of my expectations. It was functional for basic tasks like checking emails and browsing the web, but I encountered occasional slowdowns and connectivity issues. This could have been frustrating for guests who rely heavily on a stable internet connection, especially if they are here for work purposes. I believe that improving the quality and speed of the wifi would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
