So, we tried the Lakeland Escape Room for my friends birthday instead of Escapology because we liked one of their themes. This was such a mistake, and I’m writing this so others don’t make the same. The place is run by teenagers who are hardly attentive to the front lobby or even the escape rooms when there’s people in there who need clues (we could hear them screaming and laughing in the employee room from our escape room). We weren’t told until after we paid that the room we chose was broken so part of it would be missing. Then, when we were prompted to read a quote aloud in order to get a clue on the screen, we had to repeat it 3 times for the employees to notice and give us the hint. Then, when we were in the last room, we found a hidden key which would not unlock any of the locks. We raised our hands for a while before someone came to check on us, at which point he told us that the key we found didn’t belong in that room in the first place. So we wasted over 10 minutes being confused and waiting for help. Oh, and the room was in such poor condition that there was a sharp screw sticking out of one of the hangings on the wall. I didn’t want to leave a bad review because I see that they already have a ton of them, so I messaged their account on Facebook and received a “we will respond to your message” automatic response. I NEVER got even a response or an apology, let alone any type of partial refund for the broken room or the bad service. Do not waste your money on this place. I have a feeling it will no longer exist soon anyways…

I had so much fun with the coffee cartel room. Abby was absolutely amazing! Whoever’s in charge needs to give that girl a raise. She made the experience so much fun!

Really disappointed with our escape room. We did Asylum and there were so many combination locks, which just felt boring after a while. We were given clues - slowly- for things we had already solved, and one of the locks didn’t work properly. When our time was our time was up (we didn’t get close to getting out!), the young lady working there was able to open one of locks my daughter had solved, but after the third attempt. It just wasn’t very fun. We’ve done Split here before, and that one was really good. When greeted it almost felt like we weren’t wanted there. Just not a good experience.

This was our first time ever going to an escape room. We escaped with 1:39 left on the clock. It was so much fun. The girl at the front was very polite and explained everything to us before going inside the room. We will definitely return

I'm so glad this was my 1st experience! It was a blast! I'm not sure if I'm dumb or the challenge was good but if ur looking for a good story and good sets, with an amazing staff, u should give it a try. We went on a Saturday night at 9pm and they had us in a room in 20 minutes.
If I had one gripe...the gentleman telling the backstory, spoke very fast but that's just minor. My one complaint is our last hint had A LOT of information to retain. Give the walkie talkie to someone that's better at juggling a lot, at one time. It was so fun I hope to go back soon. Thank u guys

Very disappointed with our experience. We have been to many escape rooms before and the experience here was by far the worst we’ve had. We would often be waiting forever after asking for a hint before receiving one. One of the hints they gave us included 6 pieces which we only had 5. We then realized we missed a puzzle that led to opening of a door. After solving the puzzle the door wouldn’t open. It malfunctioned and no one was watching to catch it. We then asked for another hint to help them notice the malfunctioned door but they gave us a hint to a different puzzle that we weren’t ready for. After sitting there our time ran out. When they came in to tell us we are out of time, we asked them about the puzzle and how it didn’t open and they had no idea. They confirmed we had it correct and weren’t sure why it malfunctioned. They offered us 10 more minutes to play but that doesn’t help us when we can’t get the piece out. We lost 10 minutes because of the door. Not to mention the lost time waiting on the hints to come in. It was very upsetting. Not sure we will return to this location again.

We had a great time , it was the grandsons birthday and he wanted to do the escape room experience . He was laughing ? while his Mimi was anxious and jumpy trying to figure out the next clue ! What a great time we had. We will do it again soon.

Was a very nice experience. The twins were celebrating their birthday. A little Azteca for completing the great escape.

I recommend this experience. I would say more, but you just have to experience for yourself.
