Amazingly star struck at the experience. Our guides James and Dylan were so talented, so passionate and filled with so much knowledge that was engaging and funny and uplifting.
I could have spent hours listening to them and watching them take stunning photos.
They took us to a quiet out of this world place with no other lights, only around 20 people instead of hundreds and let us ask any questions. Definitely needed the parka lol. Could have been colder but still way cold. The photos they took are stunning and I just felt blessed to be in such great company and talent and passion. Our own cameras took stunning photos because of the heights and cold still air. Hanging out with an astronaut was so cool. Mahalo

Stargazing with Epic Tours was an unforgettable experience. Words really can’t adequately express how stunning the stars are from that location on Mauna Kea. They supply coats and blankets, but it’s cold up there, so don’t forget to dress as warm as you can.
I loved being able to learn about the stars and planets and constellations and galaxies and ask all the questions I wanted to ask of Dylan. They use a laser pointer to show us everything, and if you have a question, they hand it to you to point out what you’re talking about. They are so knowledgeable and have really thought of it all to make the experience special.
James has some really impressive camera equipment and took some of the most stunning pics I’ve ever seen. (I tried to take a couple with my phone, but they were all blurry, so I was so happy to have a bunch of gorgeous pics sent to me.)
The whole experience was absolutely beautiful and I would do it again in a heartbeat. ⭐️ ?

We had an amazing time stargazing with Epic Tours! The views were well worth the time and expense, and James was a fantastic guide. Despite the rare cloudy night, he was able to find clear skies with the views we’d hoped for. Definitely recommend Epic Tours and the photo upgrade!

We went on the Epic Tours stargazing tour and had a great time. James and Dylan were both very knowledgeable, and we love the photos from the tour. The clouds/weather were not cooperating, but James had other locations that we were able to switch to in order to continue with the tour. We would definitely recommend them to others!

Although we weren't able to partake in our stargazing event due to weather/clouds, the business proactively reached out to us with the challenges and gave us options. He’s incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the universe. He is so dedicated to providing a spectacular experience, that he’s constantly scoping out new locations and prudently monitoring the weather throughout the entire evening, all to guarantee optimal stargazing conditions. He’s also got a lot of fun facts and dad jokes to share about space, stars, and planets. You will feel smarter by the end of the tour ? And to top it off, his photos are out of this world (pun intended)! ? This isn’t your run of the mill tour, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring back home invaluable souvenirs and unforgettable memories. Don't think twice, just book it. I had the time of my life under the DAZZLING night sky with Malia, Dylan and Luke. Their passion, sense of humor and attentive kindness made for a top tier, one of a kind experience. Epic Tours goes the extra mile to ensure that guests are comfortably snuggled under a crystal clear night sky. They adjusted the start time to account for the moon rise which means the first half of the experience was total darkness and the second half was getting to watch the moon ascend over the horizon. The guides were so warm and welcoming, I felt like I had been friends with them for a lifetime. I honestly didn't want to leave. If you're obsessed with space and want the opportunity to see planets, shooting stars and galaxies with your naked eye, book your Epic Tour now! 🙂

James and Dylan were INCREDIBLE! I was hesitant to book it only because there are other tours on Mona Kea that are longer and look more reputable but once I saw all the great reviews I was sold. There is so little light pollution on the big island and you are taken to a place that you can see so many stars. Dylan was a wealth of knowledge and was also very comedic and had us all laughing. He answered any and all questions we had and we had discussions about planets, pluto, how to tell the size of a shooting star, astronomy, and so much more. It was COLD but they gave us parkas to wear. I would bring warm clothes, gloves, and blankets, but the whole experience was WELL worth the price. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
