Time Out Party & Play Indoor Playground - Vernon Hills, Illinois

I had been eyeing the signs for Time Out Party & Play for what felt like an eternity, waiting for it to open so that my daughter and I could FINALLY check it out. Well today, my friends, was the day!!

We came in about 4:45pm on a Saturday. There were maybe 5 other children playing. I had already checked out the prices, so I knew what to expect: $20 for open play, $28 for open play + drink + toy or $15 for open sensory play (great for toddlers and babies). Although I was initially a little hesitant about the $20 open play fee based on the space, I can confidentially say that I got my money’s worth, as my daughter was entertained for a solid hour and a half, and still didn’t want to leave.

The sensory area is a wonderful, quiet, low-light space for toddlers and babies who would otherwise be overwhelmed (or trampled) in the play area.

The main play area is great, as you can see your child from just about every angle, and even on a busy day, the space is small enough that they’re a safe distance away from you at all times. Adults aren’t allowed on the second story of the play gym, but even my reserved 3 year old was able to maneuver most of the stuff on the second floor with confidence and ease. There are plenty of seats and tables for parents to hangout, or for kids to take a break, and cubbies for your shoes (socks only play).

Great play space for kids 6 and under, but somewhat older siblings could enjoy the space as well! They offer private and semi-private party packages at a reasonable rate, too!

The staff were really friendly and uplifting. The kids absolutely loved the variety of activities available to them! Don't hesitate to visit if you're in the area. I'll be coming back for sure, I forgot to mention that it's also really appropriately priced for the amount of joy you get out of it!

I've been waiting for this to open for awhile, it's finally here. My kids had a blast today! Will definitely be back. Friendly staff and perfect amount of things for kids to be entertained for awhile!

My daughter had a blast in their playground and sensory room. The host was very attentive, kind and helped make my daughter’s experience even better. Very clean environment and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

We had a great time here this weekend. There’s plenty of space for the kids to run around and it never felt crowded. We chose the VIP tiere and at the end our kids got to choose a free toy which made the experience for the kids so much better. There’s a nice area for adults to relax while the kids play, and the private bathrooms were a big plus. Definitely a spot we’ll visit again!

Time Out was perfect for our child's birthday party! The place was clean, safe, and full of fun activities. The staff was friendly and made everything easy. The kids had a blast, and the party room was great. Highly recommend for an stress-free and fun party!
