Abysmal service. We were 2 hours from home visiting shops and this was easily the worst experience of the day. The worker acted irritated we were even there. We wanted to buy cards and look through stuff. When we asked about certain stuff he literally said "you can find our shop online" and wouldn't elaborate further. Also quite literally said he was too lazy to look up our accounts and didn't bother.... wild to have such a terrible experience when we were there to spend money. Not only will I never go again, I will actively make sure none of us use their tcgplayer shop.

It's a very small shop, so they don't have a lot of supply for what I needed. The place was clean and the staff is friendly and it looks like their gaming area is top notch. They didn't quite cover my needs, but it's still a very cool place.

Cozy shop with a wide selection of products from board games to minis. Staff are always super friendly and receptive to feedback. They host regular events and I often draft on Fridays - it's typically a lot of fun. It's also conveniently close to the Purdue campus, easily a bus ride away.

Edit:
Gave the shop a second chance. Had a much better experience the second time. The guy at the counter was helpful and energetic.

Keeping it at 4 stars due to poor first impression.

Original review below

- Felt unwelcome
- Was not acknowledged by any employee as a potential customer at all

Stopped by for the first time today to see what sort of games and supplies they had as well as what sort of game nights they offered. When I walked in I made eye contact with the employee at the counter and he did not say anything, but continued to talk to someone else about a game. I began to look around at some of the games while waiting for the employee to finish talking to the other person, or at least give me some sort of acknowledgement that I was there. After a couple of minutes of waiting for some sort of communication I went around to the wall at the counter to look at some of the trading cards, but the employee and the other person continued to talk to each other. I had to squeeze behind the other person and said "excuse me", but neither of them made any communication one way or another. At this point I was horribly unimpressed with the experience, but I decided to try looking at the cards in the display case that was right in front of the employee to see if I could get some sort of acknowledgement about my existence as a potential customer, but nothing happened. The employee continued to talk to the other person about the same game. I decided to just leave and as soon as I put my hand on the door to leave the employee finally acknowledge me with a "Have a good day."

I'm not a huge boredgamer but this seems like a pretty cool shop. Might wanna be careful bringing kids in at certain times because they do games in the back. Because it's a small shop the bit of swearing that happened could be heard in the front. I wasn't personally upset but someone with a small children that hasn't heard that language might be frustrated. The staff is always friendly and they have more games than I have the patience to look at. 🙂

From my few visits, they've been very rude to me. As a nerd who likes to play Magic, I hope that Magic shops are friendly and inviting. From the shops I've been to, people will greet me and help me with any of my queries. At this shop though, I've not been greeted and any queries I may have are either answered incompletely or not at all. Good place if you get in the right crowd, but I'm not in that crowd.

An excellent hobby store. The shelves are full of games, miniatures, and hobby supplies new and old. The friendly staff are helpful and knowledgable. If they don't have something in stock, they will find a way to get it for you, even if its out of their way. They have plenty of space for playing games and have a schedule of games you can join from Magic to WarHammer to many others. Its a great place to hang out and get your nerd on.

They have a great selection of board games and miniatures and the staff is quite knowledgeable in both. The card selection is okay and also not as much staff knowledge with the cards. The prices can be a bit high on some products, which is fine for a small business trying to compete with larger retailers. The main issue is in how they run events. I have been to a few card events and one miniatures event, both of which were not managed well. I went to a MTG booster draft that took over 6 hours, 40 minutes of that time we were just waiting on pairings at one point. I played in a Warhammer event that had similar management and ended up not being able to finish because it was taking so long inbetween rounds. So I would say, I recommend purchasing products here especially board games but maybe find somewhere else to play them.
