I am a recently retired 30 Year Veteran NYC High School History Teacher from the Bronx and I mention this only because I want the Reader to know and understand that this is being written by an educated Professional and not Someone who has Anything personal against the Vendor! Please be aware of the following Facts regarding an ongoing Dispute with the Dealer over the recent Purchase of a Winchester Model Sx4 Semiautomatic Shotgun;

The Winchester Sx4 Semiautomatic Shotgun comes disassembled when purchased and must be assembled before it can be operational!
I already owned a Winchester Sx4 Semiautomatic 12 Gauge Shotgun prior to this disputed Purchase and I am familiar with both the Design and the Assembly Process for this Item and I have never experienced any Problems or any other Issues with assembling it or disassembling it in the Past!
I was told by the Dealer that the Item that I had purchased was going to be shipped in a Box other than in the Winchester Box because the original Box had experienced Water Damage!
I was then reassured by the Vendor that the Item had not experienced any Water Damage because it was being used as a “Floor Model” at the Time! Herein lies the Problem!
Dozens of potential Customers were therefore able to handle this $1,000 Item prior to its being sold and shipped to Me!
In order for the Dealer to ship the Item after selling it, the Shotgun had to be disassembled before packaging it and shipping it!

When I received the Item I removed all of the component Parts and began to assemble the Shotgun as I have done frequently in the Past with the other Winchester Sx4 that I already own!
I was unable to connect the Shotgun Barrel to the Stock Receiver because there was Something obstructing the Connection inside of the Receiver and preventing full Movement of the Bolt Handle!
I was afraid to damage the Item and I immediately notified the Dealer and I was told to just try to “finagle it a Bit” and if that didn’t work maybe I could take it to the FFL where I received the Item and maybe Someone there might be able to help Me!
No Customer that purchases a $1,000 Item should have to “finagle” Anything before it can be operational! Period!
PS:
I also suggested that the Vendor could simply compensate Me for the defective Product by reimbursing Me $500, which would be approximately Half of Cost of Purchase Price and I could keep the Item which could be used in the Future for spare Parts! I have received Nothing! Not even an Apology!
Bad Business! NOT recommended!

PPS:
Limits on the Number of Characters prevented Me from being able to provide the additional Details about just how unconcerned unresponsive and therefore unprofessional this Business is!

I’ve never been to the Westside location, but the Boonville location has always been great. I recently went in to look at a gun that no other retailers in the area sell. All the staff was friendly and the lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and personable. The gun I was looking for is pretty expensive, so I didn’t expect much of a selection, but I was pleasantly surprised to find multiple options in store! Even better is it was on sale for a great price. I don’t think I’ve ever been in the Boonville location and NOT found what I needed. Definitely my go to for all things that go bang!
