Wonderful family owned toy store with thoughtfully selected and unique toys. So much better than ordering from Amazon! It's a whole experience. Tell them about the child and they will match a toy to perfection. High quality and unusual toys that you can't find anywhere else plus great customer service! Go!

As we were leaving the Chesterton Toy Store today, we talked about what a unique store it is! The staff went out of their way to welcome us and were kind and helpful while we looked around at all the fun treasures surrounding us. And they had puppets! Puppets! And games! And a wonderful assortment of toys for all ages! The atmosphere is colorful and fun; you can tell someone there put so much thought into the shop setup and its unique items! What a treasure!

Very disappointing experience. Don't let photos deceive you: the interior of the shop is ridiculously small. Half of the facility is behind an employees only area. Very limited selection and ludicrously overpriced merchandise. We came here wanting to support local shops and start a tradition of taking the kids to a real toy shop, but to the gentleman in the wheelchair: keep your comments to yourself. We were having a good time letting our kids look at all 3 of their aisles of goods when he makes a very uncalled-for comment to me about my 2yr old son and a book he'd chosen. Sir, I would like to apologize for my family's business. Rest assured, we won't be bothering you and your rinky dink shop again.

This place pics are deceiving. It’s very small and while there are many people who came in there’s not much room to move around afterwards.
The owner made a comment about my kids not in a positive way which made us very unhappy. It’s a toy store, kids want to go in and touch things and see what they want.
Also toys are WAY over priced.
Different items, then standard places which was neat.

What a gem. Zach the owner was very kind and welcoming. We found some unique puzzles and classic candy. Prices were reasonable. Easy to park and walking distance downtown Chesterton. Will definitely be back!

We absolutely love Chesterton Toys! They’re always so nice and welcoming, plus they have a great selection of interesting toys and puzzles! They make a point to remember you, which says a lot about how much they care about their customers. If you haven’t checked them out, I highly recommend it!
