Very friendly and informative people working here. I was lucky enough to time it where there was a photography and watercolor display. I really enjoyed the visit. It's worth investigating if you have time. I was also told the display changes about every 4-6 weeks.

South Shore is incredible! A wonderful place to visit when in Hammond. Go around Christmas to see their amazing "A Christmas Story" windows.

Great place to bring the little kids to see Santa Claus! There's also displays of the Christmas story.

We go here every year to see the Christmas Story display. It is amazing and it really puts us in the mood for Christmas. We also enjoy all the beautiful decorated trees. Indiana Welcome Center does a super job. Nice, super clean facility. Went again this year (2024). Our first year when Santa was here "on the mountain". Super cool. Our grandson got to go down the slide. Loved it!

Really nice staff who was very helpful on giving us advice on what sand dunes to go to. And other local little places in the area to visit as well. There is also a very nice art galleries that we were able to see, and a fun little statue from A Christmas Story the literally made our day because my husband and I both love that movie! Nothing too special about the place honestly. But just a nice little stop along the way very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
