Super cute little museum! Volunteers are very knowledgeable and these cars are gorgeous classics you never see anymore. I would highly recommend as one of the few things to do in Connersville.

We were out for a weekend drive and saw this little museum on google and am so glad that we did.
The two gentlemen that were there were very knowledgeable about all of the displays and were happy to share with us not only their knowledge but their enthusiasm as well. They made it a wonderful and interesting time and we left feeling we were a part of Historic Connersville.
I know there are other Gems like this small museum but they are unfortunately few and far between. Don't let yourself miss this one.

For a small place, the Fayetteville County Historical Museum sure packs an outsized punch! Wasn't even open when we stopped by, but a docent driving by opened the doors for us for a private tour. He highlighted the very impressive collection of Empire, Lexington, Auburn, and Cord automobiles that were made in Connersville from 1912 til late 1930s. And there's more: exhibits of Native American artifacts, pioneer life, and military and manufacturing history of "little Detroit." A delightful and educational experience. Was happy to make a donation!

One of interest places to visit when in town,, The Historic Connersville has moved from the last time I was in Connersville. The new facility is nice. The displays are well done. I would love to have the award winning cars that they have on display especially the 1937 Cord Beverly. If things have just gone a bit different, Connersville could have been the automobile center of the country instead of Detroit as several manufacturers made their home there in the early years.

Between the gentleman who escorted us & my boyfriend who grew up in this area , I think I had one of the best experiences . If you are into old cars , it is a must see . Vehicles were built in Connersville , IN & way ahead of their time where their features are concerned .

EXCELLENT museum with SO much to see! It would be impossible to list here everything this place has - just know there's something for everyone! All ages! Handicap accessible, and you'll need about 1.5 hours. Get one of the docents to guide you simply because you'll miss some cool history on certain things if you don't! Go and enjoy!

Toured the museum today with Sam Harvey as a guide. The museum is fantastic and filled with interesting historical items, including many items with direct ties to Connersville. I will definitely go back! Sam was a wealth of knowledge and a great guide.
