Be careful what you say or do here. The last time I visited the Coralville Rec Center I had some personal belongings stolen. When I tried to report it to Rachel Montgomery she laughed in my face saying, "It was my fault." She then proceeded to argue with me about it for 15 minutes before kicking me out and banning me from the facility. This is not an uncommon situation as I have witnessed her instigate arguments with other patrons on multiple occasions as well as attempt to instigate arguments with others. Apparently, she had also told several other staff members that she was going to get me banned months before this. This is the kind of immature behavior that is indicative of the staff members at this facility. The staff members will not help you, and most are disinterested in doing even the bare minimum of their job. If you expect them to, or if you complain about the litany of things going wrong here, including by other patrons, you will probably be banned. I've never been to a gym where there is one particular staff member that is so contemptuous of the patrons.

Nice facilities, we joined for the pool. I like that the area around the pool is rougher cement not tiles, so I don't feel like I am going to slip and fall. The staff is nice and helpful. Locker room is spacious and has lockers for .25 if you don't have a lock. I wish hot tub was larger, but it is still nice to be able to soak for a bit after swim....just have to watch for it to be empty.

Conference rooms are great for party rentals. We attended a baby shower here and it was a perfect size. It also seems like a good place for kids to hang out and make friends

Great place, great workers. This place is clean, well kept and very affordable. You can get a membership to either swim, workout or both. They also have tons of kids, adult and youth organized activities at a very affordable price. Great customer service, friendly and helpful.

It's always fun to come and play basketball, or go to the park. In July, the firework display they put on can't be beat.

Basketball here is a blast. The other amenities are nice as well. I wish the backup gym was full sized, but I suppose there's only so much room to work with.

Their exercise room leaves a lot to be desired. It costs $2 per admission and the room is small and cramped feeling. There is also little air circulation and only 1 tv. For the price it is not worth making your regular gym but if you wanted a quick workout it is ok.
