I have only been here a couple of times, but it has a large lake for fishing, a nice park for The kids, a cool tank, lots of trail along the edge of the lake. Only real downside is it's right next to Highway 20. Gas stations and food nearby. Nice place for a break or a picnic. Or to do some fishing. Maybe even just take a walk.
Don't feed the sky rats - i mean... geese. 🤣

What a great little lake and memorial park. Located just off route 380/20 at Evansdale, Illinois We stopped by here to take a rest and have a picnic lunch while on our way westward to Wyoming. We hiked around the park and across the bridge to an island with a gazebo and concrete sidewalks to stroll down. The park is very well maintained and there is a nice parking lot , restroom facilities a playground and picnic areas. There are beautiful memorials and sitting areas throughout the park. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

This is a very nice, cute and serene park with the island. There has been some thought put into it and a special place to remember the girls. However, I am solely giving three stars due to the appalling bathroom conditions and setup. (Noted why in bathroom comment)

It's a beautiful park..Because its a memorial, it caused mixed feelings for me, since i'm a mother, but overall it's beautiful and well taken care of. I can't wait to visit in the fall and sit under the willow tree while drawing on my sketch book and drinking my coffee. It's peaceful and quiet and overall It's a beautiful dedication to the girls, never forgotten💕

We stopped here to have lunch and take a stroll. There was a big pavilion with picnic tables to eat at. The playground made me wish the grand daughter was with us. She would have loved it.

Very nice, peaceful park. Trails to walk around and water for recreation. Small playground and life size military tank to top it off.
