Would recommend the newly opened next level board games cafe in mountain view. The place is well-stocked and will probably have the board games you're looking for. The space is a bit old and the games they have for free play are a bit worn.

Went here with a friend. Nice place at first, has a lot of cool games and many tables. My friend was treated great, he comes in a lot. I had an encounter with staff member that told me "you shouldn't touch things you don't understand" and continued to insult my intelligence and belittle me after I touched some dice that fell out of it's container (the foam holding the die was very hard and did not hold the die well). I communicated how the foam made it hard to put the die back in, and that there was no sign saying do not touch (as the die were out on the counter) and apologized, however the staff member continued to belittle me. Had to put what I was going to buy back on the shelf and leave. I will not be coming back.

TLDR: please train your staff on manners.

Very friendly place with a great board game/hobby night on Thursdays! They redid the floors recently and it looks good. I appreciated that the aisles seemed slightly wider than they often are in board game stores. I believe it is smaller than other Game Kastles I've been in (though comparing anything to the massive, now-closed Mountain View store is unfair) but is still well stocked and has multiple play areas.

wheelchair accessibility: My friend who uses a wheelchair comes to game nights with me and is able to access the store easily through the back (adjacent to the parking lot with a handicap spot near the store.) The staff are always eager to help move anything that might be in her way but in my memory the only actual obstacles were other patrons' belongings, occasionally. The front entrance is a bit too sharp for confortable wheelchair access, but most people seem to come in and out through the back anyway because that's where the parking lot is. Bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible.

LGBTQIA: Staff have been friendly to trans patrons.

Place was pretty sweet. The people there are nice and not pushy. They have new school and old school dragon shields. Singles and all kinds of other board games, 40k stuff, playing sections. Cool store.

The staff is really great and always welcoming but their paint racks are always mostly empty and it seems like they never restock it.

There is a lot here for every hobby! From warhammer, to paints, to card games (i.e. magic, lorcana, ect) to board games, and dnd and other figures. Very nice atmosphere and welcoming vibe. The workers and store manager are very knowledgeable about anything you ask from them, so wonderful for new hobbyists!

Great staff. Answered all questions. Best part is the game room area where you can demo their stash of games. We tried out a few games with our 5 year old, seeing what she liked and could grasp. Will definitely go back.
