It was so exciting as a Boy Scout and I loved the atmosphere and activities especially snorkeling and kayaking but we were in pack 408 so our area was super duper cold.

Going to Camp Cherry Valley in 2023 was a life-changing experience for me. Already being an Eagle Scout, I had taken a break from scouting for about a year. I had barely decided to go to Camp Cherry Valley for their 100th year as well as a fun trip in the summer. Given that I didn't need anymore merit badges nor did I want to keep earning them, I had decided, with a friend, to go into their ACE program (Advanced Camping Experience). Perhaps coincidentally, several other people in Troop 66 (my troop) had also signed up, several were also Eagle Scouts. We hiked about 20 miles and kayaked 15 miles around Catalina Island over the week. It was one of the greatest journeys of my lifetime. We came back so hungry and so tired from every journey, but we're always excited for the next adventure. Even though these guys started out as almost strangers, they became some of my best friends in one week. We were talking, laughing, and hurting together on the long and laborious adventures around Catalina Island. I still hang out and camp out with these friends. The staff was incredible. They were kind understanding, funny, and outrageous. It was never a dull moment. The food was good (Us ACE kids were always hungry though). The medical staff was great. Showers were...alright. The beds were comfy (We were always tired though). And the spiders were everywhere! Everyone was pretty responsible and incredibly well-mannered at camp. I would never trade this experience in a million years. Sad to see camp disappearing, at least for a little while. I hope to see new scouts grace your shores. Stay Awesome and Thank You!

Great Boy Scout camp that I went to with my son for cub Scouts. The staff here is exceptionally helpful and cheerful. The energy they give off even affected my "cool" 9 year old.

The food here is hearty and flavorful and quite filling. Definitely one of the best "camp foods" that I've had.

Activities are varied and help a budding Scout on his way to self discovery and service.

It was an amazing time I can tell that the staff really wanted to be there and we were treating amazingly you showers and bathrooms were clean all the time everything was very organized and I felt like we were always being kept track of and being kept safe it was an amazing catch good for anyone.

This was my favorite summer camp I visited in all my years of scouting. The staff were hilarious and so friendly. The food wasn't bad, and the views were incredible. This was the summer camp that helped me make that last step to the eagle scout rank. If your troop has the chance, I highly recommend coming here.

I know in the early 80's it was AWESOME, I went there for summer camp as a teen with the Boys & Girls club. But back then, the cove was completely dedicated to the camp, for swimming, skiing, kayaking, row and paddle boats, snorkeling and even spear fishing was never ANY outside boats.

Our Troop attended CCV for a week this summer (2023) and every single scout and leader raved about it. We had 18 scouts and 4 leaders attend and it was many of our scouts first time at CCV but I am sure it will not be their last. Our Senior Patrol Leader (who has been to summer camp every year since he joined) even proclaimed that Cherry Valley was his favorite Scout camp he's ever attended. Our leaders continually mentioned how clean the camp was, how great the staff was, and how engaging everyone was with the scouts. We will be singing the praises of Camp Cherry Valley for years to come and we will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing experience for our scouts!

Been here a week and I couldn't be happier, nature at it's best! The weather is amazing, the facilities are not new but it they comfortable and cozy. Love this place!!!
