I have seen several videos about the vehicles and community, so I have made multiple separate inquiries over the past year to ask specific design questions, most recently about a flagship vehicle that sells for over half a million dollars. In all cases, they could not be bothered to return my messages / calls. If this is how they treat customers trying to spend money with them, imagine the experience AFTER they have your money.

After 1 year of ownership I would rate STO with 3 stars.

The good. Great looking and well thought class B RV with helpful community. All quality materials. Very cozy inside. You can go and park pretty much everywhere. AWD and lifting suspensions are excellent for exploring the nature and van life. Where you go, you make a statement. if you are lucky you can get a STO with bells and whistles w/o mark up. Their Facebook group is very helpful to get things fixed, upgrades or just to get into the vanlife.

The bad. Customer service is bad (Jeremy Higgins) they left me behind with my heater problem not just in the winter, but also the summer too for 3 months. From my 1 year ownership I spent 6 months not using it. Pushing production during Covid while maximizing profits they’ve lowered their quality control.
Also, they don’t tell you some of their units come without adaptive cruise control and 360 cameras even you pay for it. Got defective shades too, Rixen heater doesn't heat enough if you go under 35F. Not sure if it's their control module or the Rixen. The Volta battery is a joke max 2 days, but they claim can go up to 7 days (it can if you don't use it of course) There are so many lithium battery banks that are better than Volta nowadays.

If I would buy this brand again, mostly likely NO. I don’t think it's justified to pay $20-30k more for Storyteller over Ravel for the same quality, yes you hear it right same quality!! Ravel is better van in my opinion, excellent customer service with network of dealers that know how to fix their vans.

I've had a Storyteller for about a year and a half now. I have had nothing but trouble with my Storyteller for year and a half now. If this sounds like fun to you get one. If you're not looking for trouble year after year then I would avoid a Storyteller.

Forward Reviews

No response to multiple emails sent regarding the increase in the Mode price after our purchase. We had a contractual agreement with the RV dealer for around $154,000. Storyteller was over 3 months late for delivery and then they decide to raise the price to over $175,000 even with a signed agreement. They screwed so many people over because less than a few months later they dropped the price back down. They are even offering a 10% rebate right now on the 2023 models. DO NOT purchase from this company, go with a different van builder. They clearly do not care about customer service or the people that purchase their vehicles. They even limited comments on Instagram because people are not happy.

I bought one of these vans used and I've had it over the year, after owning five RVs I can say that this is the one I've used the most and is the best!
I use it as a daily driver and for work, honestly it's all that I need. My only complaint is that I can't use drive-thrus.
Maybe if I put some lowrider tech in it I can lower it down to 8 ft?
