AMAZING!! The selection at this location was absolutely fantastic I am already a huge play and talk fan especially the Gulfport location and this one may have taken the cake. Somehow they put twice as much good merchandise in a store half the size of the Gulfport location, the choice of video games here was fantastic with everything from Dreamcast to PS5. They even had the newest releases which I was so excited to see as I was hoping to pick up a copy of Metaphor. Overall just know this is the spot to go for classic and modern games and just an amazing location to go for all your favorite game and anime needs.

I have been coming to this store since they have opened, and have bought and sold many games and consoles over the years. Today, I went to sell my PS4 console that I bought from them, and it’s sat in the same condition since purchase. They refused to honor the trade, and I explain to the manager, Ron, that I’ve never had issues with this console. They loaded up a disc and told me it didn’t work, when I have never had issues with the disc drive on this console. This interaction has me befuddled, and melancholic, and I might not ever return to this business again. What’s even crazier about this situation is I brought the console home immediately , and I loaded up a copy of Madden 20 for the PS4, and the disc drive worked. So , I’m not sure how to feel about this. Just very upset, bad business.

I always have great experiences anytime I visit both the Gulfport & Mobile branches. They are always so friendly & helpful! Clarence in the Mobile store has helped me out more than once in choosing games or troubleshooting my consoles, etc. He's always very patient with this old lady coming into his store needing help with my device!

I bought a PSA Grade 10 Shining Fates Charizard Vmax from them a few weeks ago for $400 before taxes. I don't know how often they update their card prices, the price tag had a date from back in 2022 I believe. So I take the fault for not checking prices online before hand, but I was excited to get my hands on it. After checking, most of them on Ebay and other sellers are going for $150 to $200, and that's for a grade 10. So I feel a little ripped off, but you live and you learn. Still a solid card overall.

I love their stickers here, games are a little pricey. Just depends on what you’re looking for decent service. Never had any issues. Great phone options.

i would give zero stars if i could. absolutely do not take your laptop here for repair. i took my laptop here for a screen repair and it took over a month to get it back. i was excited to get my laptop back since it’s my main tool i use at work. i didn’t even have it back for 4 days before it completely shut down again. i didn’t panic because they say they have a 30 day repair insurance policy. lies. i took it back immediately and they insisted it was physical damage caused by me dropping my computer. i have never dropped this computer. it crashed the second time i opened it since they repaired it. they said they were giving me a “discount” to repair it for a second time i still had to pay more than 3/4 of the original price the same week i got it back. their insurance is a scam. i fell for it again. i paid another few hundred dollars to have it repaired again ! and now it’s not even a month since i’ve had it back and it’s completely crashed again. this laptop is only a couple of years old. this is ridiculous. and the worst customer service i’ve ever experienced. gaslighting me into accepting responsibility for physical damage ? insane. they don’t know. what they’re doing and will be rude to you about it. lost nearly a thousand dollars on this crap. i should’ve driven to new orleans to go to an apple store bc for this amount of money i could have a new laptop. i’ve lost all my information and have no working computer and im out a grand. save yourself the hassle and go to a repair shop with some credibility because they have none. worst experience ive ever had. liars. scammers. and they’re rude. hope they enjoy my money they must need it to be scamming people this way. i’ve never been so disappointed. actually i’m devastated. i looked to them for help and instead lost hundred and hundreds of dollars and my computer so. do yourself a favor and don’t go here.

It may work for you and your video games in pokémon cards but not for sports cards yet. They're trying but they're just not there yet. But the customer service is great. They will talk to you and get back to you just like this review. Plus they have so many other fun things to buy in the store besides cards, you'll have a good time

Ron the Manager at Play & Talk is a bully. My daughter and I went to look for an iPhone , our initial experience with staff was very pleasant until the Manager, Ron wanted to be a jerk and flex his seniority in front of everyone. When I asked for his name so that I could share this experience he did not want to provide that information, however all other staff provided their names willingly. Then he eventually came from the back of the store and loudly stated his name. Then trying to state all the store policies regarding purchasing an iPhone over $600, well keep the phone and you just lost our business and it was the most expensive phone in the case. I normally don't do reviews but this one was necessary.
