This was our first time staying here. We got a Caboose for two evenings, It was nicer than I expected. The amenities were nice and it had a good working heating and cooling unit. Nice sized bathroom, comfortable bed, and enjoyed our stay. The restaurant on site is also great, we had two breakfasts and dinners there and the food was both great, and plentiful, you won't leave hungry. |Lots of things to see and do in the local area.|We plan to visit again and stay here within the next month or two.|Having driven by in the past and looked at this location without staying, it was disappointing to see now that the vintage wooden snowplow had been scrapped and not restored.

My wife and I were in California for a memorial service and I decided to surprise her with a little vacation before we returned home....She called it Magical, that's all I really need to say!

I have to admit it was magical but we are kind of train nerds. We stayed in Caboose #23 a Cotton Belt Extended Vision Double Copula...It was super cool! We had the three most comfortable and quiet (Magical) nights we have had in a long time.

The food in the restaurant was amazing and very affordable...Get the chicken fried steak breakfast you will not be disappointed. The staff was exceptional and very friendly. We ate all our meals there even though there are recommended places in town, we were not disappointed.

We will definitely try to return but we live 2000 miles away, if I lived in California I would take my wife there every month....it was magical and that's what we need!

My girlfriend and I are on the way back from Shasta Caverns driving along the 5 Freeway northbound. We happen to run into this beautiful Jam of a restaurant and such a very cool atmosphere. You couldn't believe that you were allowed to dine in the trains but the warm fireplace live music and even a happy hour.
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional highly recommend to anybody looking for something out of the ordinary and very special.

This place is so beautiful and very clean. We ate at the restaurant the first night everything was delicious. I had the Cobb salad it was huge and was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming for another stay. All staff was very accommodating and friendly. Visited the gift shop and got some really cute stuff for our grandson.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was so interesting to stay in a converted caboose. Not a typical hotel room. It did have all the typical amenities of a hotel room though - good sized bathroom, little fridge, microwave, coffee maker. The cupola was fun to climb up and sit in. The grounds had good amenities too, like the pool and hot tub. The food at the dining car restaurant was excellent. Everything was clean, and the service was friendly.
