We got the last RV spot that night and it was so nice and shady. Ground was dirt. No gravel. Had a lot of things to offer in the park game wise. Kids could climb a train. Nice playground. Also, dog run area fenced in . Had a restaurant in the Caboose train and the food was excellent! There's a creek you could play in if you find the small trails down. Many areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. Had cabins and caboose to stay in. Really neat place. Very quiet here. Rv area more shaded though than if staying in caboose. Though caboose had a/c in window. I would stay here again.

Our first impression was that with the campground policies in place each individual staying there has to sign off on there would be a better understanding of how to respect those very policies. Clearly that was not the case during our visit on Friday night November 8th. It's clearly represented by the parks documentation that quiet times are between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. but unfortunately there was a large group in the camp that not only did not adhere to this but showed total disregard for all around them. Although the park was only 1/3 full we were all in one area so it provided a more frustrating experience when these campers showed no consideration whatsoever at 10:00 p.m. . At 10:40 p.m. I contacted the park staff via the emergency after hours phone number, no one picked up and then I texted an individual with the number and asked them to please do their job and address the unruly guests. FYI, their campfire was no less than 10 ft tall coming through the flu of their own Fire stove clearly showing total disregard for the park regulations concerning fires as well as the dry conditions that existed. Whoever responded to the phone message promptly took care of the problem. However, I would have to say the most frustrating experience was the very next morning I went in and spoke with someone that represented herself to be the manager at the gift shop. When this was brought to her attention and I mentioned that I would not be calling them again and I felt it inappropriate that a guest would have to bring to staff the issue at hand at 10:40 p.m, All I received was excuses and reprimanded for my presumptuous nature as she put it rather than express any empathy towards the disgruntlement that I showed. She began to become contentious stating that her single security man was busy taking care of a wasp problem in a unit and therefore could not address the campsite issue as there was no host. The group that has to be controlled wasn't simply loud, it was an uncontrolled party as if no one else existed in the campground. Quite honestly the campsite shouldn't have campers without a host in my opinion. And to do so would require a higher level of security which clearly was not the case. Then of course on top of that was the fact that Saturday morning, most likely one of the busiest days of the week the maintenance staff is out in the campground running a blower for in excess of an hour and a half when this is a time it should be enjoyed by all campers to have peace and quiet and enjoy their time. This could easily be done on Monday most likely one of the slowest days of the week. That kind of logic makes no sense to us as experienced campers. Needless to say our visit was far less enjoyable than expected nor would we ever consider staying there again. Quite honestly the manager has an inappropriate disposition concerning her responsibility. She obviously seems to think that we need to adjust our thinking that if they have other duties that there's no responsibility to take care of something of this nature. I suggested that they must be understaffed if they can't address all of the issues at the same time which then began an argumentative conversation with her rather than simply accept the perception of the customer that's already been subjected to a poor experience due to the lack of a host controlled environment.

So far, things have been really good. The staff is very friendly and the place, while hot, is very clean and quiet. We have enjoyed a couple of days of resting and will plan to come back again. The restraint is really good and had the same kind of staff. The live musicians were pretty good also!

Great RV park. My wife loves it. Bathrooms are clean, showers look good. Fairly quiet. Beautiful trees and then there are the railroad cars.

Stopped here on the return leg of a road trip from Seattle to SoCal to attend a family reunion. What a perfect choice! Gorgeous setting. Have been stopping at RV campgrounds all along the way in our first time rented RV. This resort, by far, has been our best experience. RV spots are private, well equipped, in the woods. NOT a parking lot. Resort offers super interesting “cabins” in converted Union Pacific cabooses. A charming, well run restaurant offers a great menu, delicious food, great beer, great service - even live, local music. A pool and playground for the kids; a dog run for our affiliate “family”. If I was still a young father with kids, I’d park myself here for a week. Don’t hesitate!

Husband and I stayed at the Rail road RV trailer park. Was so beautiful. Our camp site was very clean and sanitary. A great location park was not to full. Grandkids came to see us. We took a walk down by the water, we walked down to the kids park. A few things there for the kids to do. Sat in the gazebo, which had a few comfortable rocking chairs. Wow this was awsome you can look at the beautiful Craig's mountain. The scenery is absolutely stunning and breath taking. After grandkid's had left, we took a walk to the dinner train. Great food and atmosphere, live music. The food is great and the service was top notch . Good portions. In all a wonderful experience. There is a gift shop on site in the office. Also the RV park does have restrooms, and an Arcade for the kids. We will definitely be back. Price for the stay were not bad we had full hook up service. The store and arcade are closed until April I believe.

I will pull out today after 3 days in my RV at the resort. Not my first time here but I am again surprised by the relaxing experience, friendly people and amazing food. I used the resort as my 'launching' point to take small 1/2 day trips to McCloud, Mt Shasta, Dunsmuir, water falls, etc. The resort is very quiet and perfect for simply hanging out for a few days or as a stopover as part of a longer trip.

We stopped here on a trip from Arizona to Northern Oregon to rest for a couple days. The campground was fairly priced, and was absolutely beautiful. It was fairly empty, and so there was lots of room to let our kids walk around and enjoy. They have a playground, and even run a little train for 5$ per person that we were lucky enough to be able to get a ride on before they put away for the day. We got some cute kid shirts from their gift shop and some train conductor rubber ducks to add to their collection. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked pretty cool! Our trailer is a little over 40ft long, and was able to get into a pull through site long enough that we didn’t have to unhook if we didn’t want to. I’ve stayed at many campgrounds across the country and this is probably in my top 5.
