Cool piece of railroad engineering, in a great little corner of the state! Can view directly from SR 70. Gravel pull off on inside of corner, (carefully!) cross the road and can view from outside of guard rail (again, carefully - steep and lose!).

Keddie Wye is a cool place to pit stop while traveling on Hwy 70. The view of the tracks is only accessible from the side of the road. However, the road is above the twin bridges and the crossing of the tracks, and is a cool site to see. Probably awesome when a train or two is passing across.

Stop if you are interested in railroad engineering and rail design plus a chance to possibly spot a passing train. The Keddie Wye is the location where multiple train tracks converge on a set of merging bridges before the railroad enters a tunnel. There are no signs or official parking and no services or designed trails or viewpoints. Use caution when parking and crossing the highway and follow the path to a somewhat tree covered viewpoint.

One of the most unique trestles in California! There’s not a lot of level ground in the feather River Canyon so Western Pacific built a junction on a bridge over the canyon. The most popular spot to take pictures is from the top right off Highway 70 but I think the most unique shot is from below at the Keddie resort

A must if you're a train person. I was lucky to catch a train this visit. Just be careful crossing the road as parking is across the street

Parked on the opposite side of the road. The traffic is fast as you cross the 2 Lane highway. There are no amenities. To wait for a train, you must step over the guard rail. Not for children or those with poor balance, or those who are impetuous. However, the view of the trains as they enter or leave the tunnel is excellent. And you can view and video the trains for quite a distance. Beautiful scenery.

Great spot to watch trains, both UP and BNSF. Unfortunately, very few eastbound trains on the UP. Trees really get in the way of photos. No safe spot to watch from. Be careful crossing the highway. Stay right up against the guardrail so you don't roll down a cliff.
