This YMCA caters only to swim teams, swim meets, and daycare. Paying members are second class citizens. Pool hours are ridiculously restricted and short. Babysitters can’t control the children. Showers and locker rooms often dirty and water is cold. Been a member for several years and now looking for alternative. Every year prices go up and service goes down. A poor representation of what the YMCA used to be. Director does not care and should be terminated. Too many swim meets with no pool to use and no parking. Don’t see anyone offering a rebate for facility that can’t be used. Many members, who support the sustainability of this facility, complain. It falls on deaf ears.

I paid for swimming lessons for my grand daughter. 4 lessons. We got to the 4th and no teacher even showed, nor did they cancel the lesson. We waited in the water for 30 minutes. Then we were told oh she told someone and they were suppose to take care of it. So we will make the lesson up. I called a week later asking why we have not received a phone call to make it up. I even left a message with Ashley the swimming coordinator, not sure of that title. THREE WEEKS NOW NEVER HEARD A WORD FROM HER. The lady at the front said oh I will take care of it. Another week goes by and I call again and she says oh Miss Ashley is in transition, what ever that means....not an excuse. And so again I will take care of it. To this day, I have NEVER heard from anyone. So I got on the site to check reviews to see if this has been an issue and lo and behold it has been an issue for quite a while and THEY DO NOT CARE!
DO NOT GO HERE FOR LESSONS! FIND ANOTHER YMCA! Whe ever is running it should be fired

Friendly staff. Great selection of cardio equipment. Great weight room organization. Well run facility considering the high amount of activity in that building

This has got to be the worst Y that I have ever been a member off. Middle Tyger Y is very unorganized, unprofessional and no one seems to know anything about anything. You sign up for classes that instructors don’t show up to teach. Instructors calling you cancel b/c they want to go home early or not even calling you at all and you’re there waiting. I went to ask the receptionist who was the instructor for the swim class b/c I had been waiting and trying to find out what to do. Her response was “ I don’t know, go ask the lifeguard.” This woman did not bother to make any effort to help me at all. Do better Middle Tyger ?

It's a very active YMCA. Lots of things going on. Kids programs, daycare, basketball, swimming. All kinds of stuff. They have two very large exercise areas. One with the machines and treadmills /bikes/ellipticals. One for free weights, barbells, and some machine stuff, but with free weights not all of them have a pull pin with different handles to pull or push. Some days it's really busy after work and some wknds. But it's a big place.

Never felt safe leaving my daughter in the daycare and she would cry every single time I told her we’re going to YMCA. She’s been to multiple gyms and always loved other ones, I suspect they don’t treat them well here. Not the nicest people working here, why would I except them treating my daughter well in the daycare? Do your own research.

I love this YMCA and their pool is HUGE! Along with a normal size family pool, they have an Olympic size pool and I swim laps almost every week in the early morning. Not only is the facility itself amazing, the staff is phenomenal as well!!! Every morning that I swim, I am greeted by the lifeguards and instantly feel safe with them watching the pool. There is one lifeguard in particular that is outstanding every morning, I think her name is Lavang..? She is always attentive and offers help whenever needed. She seems to be very knowledgeable about upcoming YMCA dates regarding the pool and always helps with a smile on her face.
I 100% recommend this YMCA to those who are looking for a family-friendly facility and a nice BIG pool to swim in!
