We came up to Santa Barbara, a town that we love visiting every other year, for our wedding and chose Palihouse as the venue for our reception. Our wedding party was a small group and we wanted a place that was personable and captured the feel of one of our favorite coastal places. Palihouse SB did not disappoint on any front. Event director Noelle was attentive and thorough, both leading up to our big day and on the day of our reception. She made herself available for an extensive phone call to go over all event and menu details and offered her council when we had questions. In addition, she shared the venue's Spotify playlist so we could get a taste of the chill atmosphere that was awaiting us. On the evening of our reception she made sure everything was perfect with food, beverages, and the overall mood. Speaking of food, Chef Gil's spread was phenomenal and our group loved it. We went with the family style options and had steak, chicken, and salad and I'm not sure anything was left when we finished. While we didn't do a full buyout we still had the courtyard to ourselves. I highly recommend Palihouse as a place to stay and for hosting an intimate event.

A Hidden Gem in Santa Barbara!

I recently stayed at this wonderful boutique hotel just minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the General Manager and staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, warm greetings, genuine hospitality, and thoughtful touches throughout my stay.

The property itself is beautifully maintained, with a cozy, elegant atmosphere that captures the charm of Santa Barbara perfectly. My room was spotless, comfortable, and full of character. Every interaction with the staff felt personal and sincere — you can really tell they take pride in what they do.

Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing getaway or a business trip, this hotel is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to return!!
P.s.. Food is excellent!! The olive oil cake is out of this world!!

My husband and I took our first family trip with our son to Santa Barbara this past week and stayed at the Palihouse. Their manager, Sylvia welcomed us and showed us all the accommodations & our room. Noelle was so friendly at the bar and Melanie was an amazing host each morning for breakfast!

It was perfect and the staff was so accommodating to say the least. Our room was so spacious and clean, ideal for a family of 3 or even more if needed! We will definitely be back in the near future!

We adore PaliHouse in Santa Barbara! ||||It is a hidden jewel right in the middle of the city and historical sites. The staff and team are incredible and make you feel right at home. The rooms are a delight and the atmosphere wonderous as you sip expertly crafted cocktails by the pool or in the courtyard. The food is delicious for breakfast and lunch. ||Highly recommended for a thoughtful and elevated experience that is quintessentially Santa Barbara.

I discovered the Palihouse SB a few months ago when we visited for drinks and sat on their courtyard with water fountain. I loved the quaint space, the way it's decorated and the scent of fragrant candle burning as you walk up the steps from the street. Each room is designed with a balcony, and the facility has a pool, and bar... and the best coffee ☕️ The staff are friendly, courteous and gracious, and I love the intimacy this boutique hotel offers.

Hands down one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. My boyfriend and I were blown away when we checked into our room to find a fairly large patio for our dog, this was very convenient. I have to also say that the breakfast is so phenomenal!! I am already planning a second trip this year. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel ❤️

The property is so cute and chic. We love how central the location is and the amount of food/bev options was great! Loved our room so much as well. We had a big bathtub that filled up fast, a fireplace, and balcony 🙂 10/10!

We stayed in the best room over the weekend and it was such a grave disappointment from the moment we arrived. We paid $2300 for our room. The reasonable expectation for that rate was a five star experience. Unfortunately, we were met with what felt like a motel experience. At best. You are expected to find a parking spot when you arrive. Nobody there offering to assist with luggage or parking. Nobody offering to assist with luggage to your room. No breakfast included in that rate. No water beside the bed (you pay for that too). No daily housekeeping unless you ask for it. No pillow menu - the pillows were limp and lumpy. Old pillows. The mattress was severely sagging. We did not sleep as it was so uncomfortable. The blanket is thin and there is nothing plush or luxurious about this offering. The pool is small and unwelcoming. Do not stay at this hotel that pretends to be a luxury offering. It falls short and will disappoint.
