The owner is absolutely awesome! Such a wonderful store with so many neat things for D&D players and tabletop enjoyers alike! I highly recommend coming here if you enjoy or are planning on getting into tabletop games!

I'm a little disappointed in my experiences at Gordon's Good Games these past couple weeks.
First, their prices. Supporting LGS is something I love to do because I want businesses like this in my town. But when I walked in to buy a couple booster packs of Pokémon cards, I was shocked to find out they were $3 MORE than the same packs I can get at a big box store like Target. This wasn't a mistake in ringing up either. It's a posted price.
Second, this used to be a good place to play Magic the Gathering, but recently they've started charging you to play in the store, on top of having to buy prize packs or draft packs.
They offer a $25 a month "subscription" you can use on store credit to play in the store, but I personally don't feel that's a savvy or lasting business practice for a small LGS. We already have to pay for packs usually to play Magic. So now on top of that there's an additional cost just to be in the store. It almost feels like the owner doesn't WANT people to play in the store.
Anyway. I hope those extra charges go away sometime. I'd rather support Gordon's than Nemo's, or Target. But with the former being free to show up and play, and the latter being cheaper on product, it's not smart for me to throw money away like that.

Very interesting. I used to be an rpg gamer. I'm thinking of getting back into it. The store had a nice variety of inventory for many different games.i will definitely be back.

My wife and I discovered Gordans a few months ago and bought our very first DnD starter kit. Shortly after on a Thursday we attended their DnD night and had a blast as new players. The dungeon master and other players were very helpful and encouraging. We've been going back weekly ever since.

Was in Atascadero for only a few days back in April and my friends ran an online session but I had no dice... Stopped into Gordons Good Games to buy some dice and ended up getting 4 sets, a sticker for my laptop and Monster stat cards! Everyone I met was so welcoming and friendly and helped me out with everything I was looking for. Incredible people, wonderful atmosphere, 10/10 store!

Gordon's Good Games is the community center for Tabletop Gaming hobbies near San Luis Obispo. It's a very welcoming venue to host game clubs and gaming tournaments, and continues to be a preferred location for Warhammer 40k & AoS, as well as D&D and MTG. It's rare to find such an inviting and friendly community, and such a supportive and accommodating retail space as GGG is.

Nice little shop. Stopped in for some Warhammer supplies and they do have a modest section for all Warhammer 40K. They even have a nice game room in the back.
