I am big on first impressions and was hesitant to have Air One A/C come back to my home; however, I'm very happy that I did. Immanuel, the technician, came to replace the copper line insulation that, due to wear and tear, had left my copper line exposed. He did this free of charge and gave me peace of mind knowing that my copper line would be protected for many years to come. Air One A/C went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with their work, and what I truly appreciated was the fact that they were very receptive of my feedback and used it as a learning experience. Should I have any future needs, I now feel that I can trust them with my home, which is really important for me.

(7/31/2024) The tech, Ruben, that came out to work on my AC unit was nice, but he was quick to tell me that the reason why my unit was not working was because the capacitor was low on charge. He was also quick to tell me that he had that part in his truck and could switch it out. When he switched it out, it didn’t fix the issue, and he said that sometimes there’s a 5 minute delay. Twenty minutes later, the ac unit was still not turning on. He continued to run “diagnostics” and ended up going to look at my furnace. Almost an hour later, he finally decided to open the ac unit to look at the coils from the inside and asked if I wanted it cleaned. Later I would find out that just for him using MY water hose and water supply to remove the dirt from the coils would cost $189 should I not decide to join their VIP membership. Once open, he realized that the issue was that somehow high pressure had tripped the switch found inside the ac unit and for switching it back on, which is considered a Level 1 Service, would cost $142. I told him to put back the old capacitor since that was not the issue and also was going to cost $475, when you can buy it online for $99! It seemed very shady that he was so quick to say it was the capacitor. I ended up paying $391 and that’s only after I asked that he call someone to see if the service fee of $99 would be waived. Most companies automatically apply the service fee cost if work is done, but apparently, this company operates differently unless you are referred by someone, which was my case. I signed up for their VIP membership, but only because it would have been more expensive if I didn’t. I also noticed that the insulation was left ripped open (picture shared) off the line set and the copper is exposed. The tech didn’t bother to try to mention that before he left or try to fix it or tell me to fix it if it’s not something the company does.

I have used Air One for A/C and plumbing for years. So last Fall, when it became obvious my 20+ year old air conditioner was coming to its end I scheduled an appointment for January to discuss replacement options and budget for them. A lot happened in those few months including rats in the attic and chewed wires, a plumbing leak that unknown to me had been absorbed into the walls and carpet where furniture blocked any view of it, creating an urgent need for mold mitigation services.

At my scheduled appointment, Immanuel spent time carefully listening to my concerns and making a thorough visual inspection of my attic, furnace and air conditioner. Then together in the comfort of my home we were able to bring Andrew on line to discuss options. Without hard sale tactics or being pressured I was able to choose and customize the option that met all my needs. I was so pleased that within my budget I could replace my furnace and air conditioner unit and all the duct work, have the old, damaged insulation removed, new and superior insulation installed and even more rodent proofing from both inside the attic and outside the perimeter of the home. The work was scheduled, equipment ordered and soon Immanuel, Elfrid and Vince were on the job. They worked as a team, kept the area clean and always arrived as scheduled. Very convenient to have them here on such a big job.

When it was discovered the rats had chewed through wires, I let Richard at Air One know I needed an electrician ASAP. Immediately, through their connections and relationships with industry professionals I was able to get an electrician right away, and the work went on as scheduled.

I received at my request a full list of plumbing repairs I needed in my home. Again, without hard sale or pressure tactics I was able to determine what I could do now and what would do later. Right away I had a shower leak that 2 other plumbers failed to fix (I used them during a period of time Air One was not available for full plumbing services). Jose and Steven worked together on this and another bathroom project that needed immediate attention due to a leak. They brought me solutions I really appreciate!! And no more leaks!!

When the discovery was made that mold mitigation was necessary, again Air One had relationship with professionals in the industry so right away I could get a reasonable quote and timely services. My home is in better shape now, and my investment is well protected having signed on with their maintenance contract. It's further peace of mind knowing my equipment and investment is safest it can be from rodent damages. . I am looking forward to staying cool this summer with reduced electricity bill.

I had a great experience with Air-One. They came to assess my tankless water heater issues and were able to replace everything in a timely manner, even though it was around the holidays. They were thorough and checked not only the issue at hand but also assess the situation as a whole. Both Jose and Steven were informative and gave me options.
