We visited Alaska in late August and this was our first guided excursion. The bar was set extremely high by Alaska Kenai Fishing for Fun right out of the gate! Do not book with anyone else or you will have missed out in a big way.

Booking was super easy and Brad was a real pleasure to talk to. James was our guide and was just STELLAR!!!!! I cannot say enough great things about these guys.

Out of our group of 5 people, there was only one of us that was a fisherman. The others had fished before but weren't what I would call lovers of the sport. James certainly changed all that and every one of just loved the fishing with him! He was every bit of a professional and super personable and we all had such an incredible experience that will last a lifetime because of him. He is a genuine guy that really has a wonderful personality and attitude.

It was such a pretty day and we did several kinds of fishing. We opted to just catch and release and not worry about limits. We ended up catching way more really big fish that any of us anticipated ever hauling in. Even if we only caught one fish all day, we would have still loved the experience.

Thank you Alaska Kenai Fishing for Fun for being one of the pinnacle highlights of our trip to Alaska.

All around great trip! Caught our limit of coho salmon in a few hours and all three of us have never salmon fished before. Thanks to Brad’s instructions and tips. Very personable guide and nice boat. Saw a lot of wildlife up the river as well!

First time salmon fishing on the Kenai and Brad and his crew made it a good, fun experience for all of us. Brad put my cousin and I on a pile of fish and we limited out within 3 hours. He also taught us everything we needed to know as it was our first time. Very thankful.

Had a great family fishing morning with Brad and James. The fish were there and they taught us what we needed to get a real quick limit. Had a blast and will be counting the days until we can make it back to fish with Brad and Alaska Kenai Fishing for Fun again. 81.1 lbs of filets for dinner and to take home for the freezer was one heck of a morning and worth every penny for the stories and fun.

With so many first-time adventures experienced on our trip, I wanted to take the time to share with anyone else considering a trip to Alaska, Alaska Kenai FFF, made our experience one we will NEVER forget and will repeat in the years to come.

Working with Brad, the owner, was a customer service dream. From all the many questions coming from a rookie, to coordinating details and offering recommendations along the way, he was incredibly helpful.

Our trip was in late September of 2021, so outside of the regular season, and our goal was fishing for silver salmon. We signed up for 2 full days of guided fishing and Brad connected us with Aaron, one of his long-time guides on the river. He reached out to us the day before our first scheduled day and asked a lot of questions to ensure he provided the best experience possible.

Aaron was incredibly knowledgeable, a great storyteller, and provided us with every piece of equipment we could need, right down to the waders and boots. We didn't have experience with fly rods, so he provided multiple rod/reel options and did all the work for us. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but having everything prepared and baited for us made it so seamless to cast, catch, and repeat, which for us was so great! During this time of the season, there is a limit to how many silver salmon each person can catch per day, but Aaron took us to several spots he knew would be successful and we caught our max both days. We went home with nearly 60 lbs. of salmon!

Whether you are rookies like we were or a seasoned fisherman/woman, I can't recommend this company enough. Thank you Brad and Aaron for helping making our 20-year anniversary something out of a dream. We are so grateful and look forward to visiting again soon.
