The room I received was definitely looking worse for the wear as far as the furniture goes. It was clean and ready on time. The front desk staff was warm and attentive. It was quiet in my room as far as noise from other rooms or the interstate. However my window was to the pool and didn't isolate me from the pool noise (which thankfully closes at night). The breakfast was what I'd expect, nothing exotic but good and filling. The shower was hot with good water pressure. I felt safe in the parking lot. For the price I paid I'd return but this probably isn't a first choice hotel if you care about furnishings in tip top shape.

Staff was great, beds were clean and comfortable, sheets crisp and towels super soft but the room I was in could use other new furniture. The seat of desk chair has serious peeling, the stand fridge is in looked like a dog chewed on it and they could improve dusting and air unit had visible mold on vents. Breakfast was standard but filling. It's weird to drive thru a car dealership to get to it, but is close to a lot of food options. I've paid more at other same named hotel for worse conditions.

Great place to stay if you are in town for a concert at Vibrant Music Hall. Room had a fully functioning refrigerator and microwave which was great for heating up take out food for after the concert. I will definitely be staying here again. They also had blueberry yogurt, blueberry muffins, and milk for breakfast which is my favorite. The blueberry muffins and milk was especially delicious.

Positive: Location close to the freeway. Negative: Homeless people in the lobby and wandering around outside. Give them a room but don?t let them wander your property. Room was old with paper thin walls. No hairdryer in the bed room.

I reserved a room through an app for better travel points. I have stayed at other Americinn’s before and found them to be very budget friendly and decent quality.
I arrived at the hotel on 11/09/24 around 10:30 to check in. There was no one at the front desk. Just a sign that said they “Will return shortly.” 20 minutes later another person shows up to get a room. I told the person how long I had been waiting. She decided to stay elsewhere. I called the hotel phone number multiple times thinking maybe it will ring in a back office somewhere. No answer. So I roamed the hotel trying to find an employee. No one was to be found. Returning to the front desk I happened to notice my reservation with the keycards sitting on the other side of the counter. I photographed it as it sat. (The photo has been turned around for review purposes.) I reached over the counter, grabbed the key cards and went to the room to check it out. The key cards worked. So I went back to the desk, filled out the appropriate paperwork and let myself in. The room had a smell to it but I have slept in worse conditions. The bed was comfortable at least. Around midnight when I had returned from getting a late dinner, there was still no one at the desk and nothing had been touched. I’m fairly certain no one worked the night shift that night.
When I went to check out the next morning I told the woman behind the desk what had happened and all she could tell me was “I’m not sure. It’s my first day back in over a month. There are plenty of other options to stay in the Des Moines area. I’ll be checking into them from now on.

The staff was very nice.

The breakfast was typical of hotels.

The rooms were run down. Microwave in room did not work. Refrigerator did not work. The shower rod was broken. The bathroom door was broken, had holes in it.

This is a 50 to 75 dollar a night stay. Not 3x that.

Excellent hotel! First time I had stayed here but will definitely be doing so another time. Wonderful staff, very quiet, super comfortable beds, room was also very clean. Highly recommend this location! Very nice grounds as well. A++ review!
