A Great Stay with Excellent Service!

I stayed at this hotel for two days, and it was a really good experience. The owner is very welcoming, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Everyone took great care of the guests, making sure we were comfortable.

The hotel’s ambience is really nice, and the recent changes have made it even better. The place feels fresh and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable, and everything was kept neat and tidy.

Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The service, rooms, and overall experience were excellent, and I’d be happy to visit again!

Members of my family had four rooms. I and my husband checked in to a King Accessible Room. First, there was NO place to hang clothes. I, finally, went to the desk to ask where I was supposed to hang my clothes. The very considerate agent apologized and explained that the armoire in that room had fallen apart and apparently they had not replaced it. She brought us a portable hanging rack. Secondly, while checking out the walk-in shower, which was VERY small that you could not stand in it with the bench down, I noticed that there was NO toilet paper...... so back down to the desk to get two rolls. Next ..... if you want a "hot" breakfast, go else where. Their breakfast consisted of HARD biscuits and gravy or a waffle. I have no complaints about the staff. They were very nice and helpful. We, and several of my family, have stayed at this motel MANY times but for almost $100 per night........ NEVER AGAIN !!!!

Nice staff. Room comfortable and clean|Once again the whirlpool was cold and the pool even colder. I not sure why the water temp is so low here. Pool hours are not convenient for adults| Nice breakfast spot with plenty of options. Our place to stay in muscatine.

I took my kids here for their birthday party, we had a quick 10 minutes cake and presents in the lobby then the kids swam their hearts out. Everyone was VERY accommodating and friendly the whole time and our kids had a blast

Price, location, and pet friendly was the best part of this hotel.
I was glad my dog was able to stay with us.
There were other things that were good about this hotel that I didn’t get to enjoy like the pool or the free breakfast because I was too busy to leave and had my dog.

Room was clean and comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze. Folks were very nice. We slept wonderfully. Parking big truck and trailer was a little tricky. Parking lot not laid out for truckers.

Rented the conference room for a birthday party , they doubled booked the room so they tried to put us in the breakfast lounge area! Then sat us all out next to the pool so everyone was sweating to death so it was a good thing the pool was 65 degrees haha! We got to swim for half hour and then the party who got the room started coming out and overfilled the pool area so we left , that’s a lot for ruin my kids bday party I spent $200 on the conference room ,for a dump of a hotel - had to ignore the people living at the hotel with their bbq grills all outside and their picnic tables 😳 this place need inspected im sure it would get shut down - new owners please - comical how businesses ran likw this with owners like this stay in business - shut em down. I will be reporting to BBB.

I think this is only the second or third Google review I’ve written, but I feel compelled to warn other travelers. DO NOT STAY HERE. I’m baffled by the good reviews, as this is by far the worst smelling, dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever had the displeasure of setting foot inside. The only positive thing I can say is that Debbie at the front desk was extremely kind and accommodating, but she has nothing to work with here. Any money spent on this place in the recent past was spent in the lobby, which has new furniture, a stone fireplace, and a giant TV. The rooms, on the other hand, are disgusting. We had two and neither would have been acceptable even if we’d only paid half as much as we did. The musty smell was overpowering and kept me awake. One room also smelled of stale vomit. The carpets look like they predate the Carter administration and they clearly haven’t seen a vacuum, much less a carpet cleaner, in almost that long. We kept finding hairs in the sleeping areas and bathrooms that didn’t belong to any of us. The faucets were loose and one of the shower curtains was partially pulled out of the wall so that you couldn’t close the curtain. The toilets barely flushed. The AC was spotty, leaving the rooms very humid. I chuckled ruefully when I read the review here (too bad I didn’t read it before we booked) that says sleeping in your car would be better, because that’s exactly what my husband ended up doing. That’s how bad it was. He’s currently in the process of trying to obtain a refund. Rather than having paid to stay there, I feel like we should be compensated for having endured the experience.
