Scott and Vicky are great hosts. The Grand Canyon room was perfect for our weekend getaway. Enjoyed their beautiful grounds and home. Vicky provides delicious breakfast selections. Her homemade preserves and salsa are also delicious. They have been to many interesting places and have lots of good stories. A younger couple was there at same time. They expressed similar feelings about their experience.
The flower gardens, small ponds. and all Scott and Vicky put into it make this a very unique and peaceful experience.

Cozy house with character in a picturesque area. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy! Scott and Vicky offered customizable set-up packages, such as chocolate-dipped strawberries and rose petals, so the room was prepared for our romantic getaway from the start. Vicky put together a few refined breakfasts with the perfect portions to start each day. I was also lucky enough to grab either one of her freshly-baked cupcakes or a brownie as soon as I walked in the door each day!

This was my fiancée and I'm first bed and breakfast. Vicky and Scott have set the bar high for other bed and breakfasts in our future. The rooms have cute national park themes with great view of their gorgeous backyard. They have a little trail in their backyard to go on. Breakfast was AMAZING! They are accommodating to food needs. Truly loved it here.

Such a relaxing and beautiful home and room we stayed in. Amazing breakfast and the scenery behind the house was breath taking. The hottub was nice under the stars and Scott and Vicky were so sweet. Absolutely will be going back with the family!

OMG! What an amazing place to spend your time off!! Vicky and Scott are the best hosts and they treat us like family! My wife and I live in Virginia and we frequently visit B&Bs around the State. We definitely recommend At Home in the Woods to anyone that wants to have a relaxing vacation, eat amazing homemade food (Vicky is the best chef) and feel like home!

Rustic inside and out, the accommodation is true to its name. It’s very busily furnished with lots of ornamentation|We spent two nights in the Smoky Mountain room with a large bedroom and shower room. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped with a TV and good wifi.|The property has a round pool, hot tub, with outdoor seats and loungers on the sun deck (or in our case, rain deck!)|We enjoyed a huge, tasty ‘no lunch breakfast’ which we were wisely advised had to be followed by either a nap or a hike. For the latter it’s well located, just a 15 minute drive from Dunes National Park

We just returned from a four night stay. We have traveled the world and this is our favorite B and B of all time. Vicki and Scott are not just great hosts, they are wonderful people and their five acre site is simply beautiful. Conveniently located for our visits to the Indiana Dunes NP. Near quality restaurants. We stayed in the Smoky Mountains room and would highly recommend it!!

Absolutely loved this place! The owners were so welcoming and helpful about places to eat around the area. Very secluded and we saw tons of animals around the area. The Treehouse was perfect for us, and it was so cozy with tons of amenities. Hot tub was windeful after a full day of traveling and sightseeing! Breakfasts were out of this world! 100% recommend this place!
