So this place seemed great when i dropped off my 2 bikes. The business is clean and the guys working there seemed very knowledgeable. I received a text, like i asked, when my bikes where done. My cannondale was supposedly done but when i rode it it still had the original issue of snagging the chain and delayed shifting. The front derailleur was super gunked up and when riding it infront of an employee the chain became dislodged and caught. My husbands bike was not touched and all his parts went on another bike that was identical and brought in the same day. He was ok with it mistakes can happen. I was pretty upset about mine. I specifically mentioned that my bike pedals where making a click when riding and shifting was hard and occasionally it would lock up the pedals and try to throw me from the bike. The guy there said he would keep it for another few days and check it out.
I received a call this wednesday saying my bikes were ready.. When riding the bike in their tiny parking lot it seemed ok. My husbands bike needed all new parts so it was a huge improvement and he was happy. When i went off road with mine....it is a mountain bike...it shifted hard, skipped, chain locked up and almost jumped off the crank. The shop said they filed down the crank teeth because the chain was rubbing but the derailleur...which they worked on because they replaced the wires to it... is still super dirty and extremely maladjusted. My bike has never been this bad. It now drags and pedals hard and catches the chain even when not shifting. I told them money and time was not an issue and after almost $500 for two bikes...$189 for my cannondale i really expected to be able to ride it. I am not the kind of person to keep giving people more chances to f up my property so i definitely will not be taking it back a third time..plus it is way out of my way and i already made an empty trip once. If you rarely ride this is the place for you but if you ride hardcore, i have over 12,000 miles in 2 years, and actually need an expert tune on your bike it is DEFINITELY NOT here. I don't want my money back i want what i paid for. But now even if someone from this business offered to come out to my house to work on it i would tell them to f off.

Yes owner reached out asking to "fix it right" this third time around. The original estimate i was given was $250-350 and i said i was ok with it and anything over. If my bike was in such a rough shape why was it given the basic cheapest tune up? The time estimate was a month and i was ok with that. It was done twice within 2 and a half weeks and NOW it is unridable i could still ride it before all this. Like i mentioned before if you are a hardcore rider and need someone who doesn't just slap on parts then do NOT take your bike here.

Pics are of my supposedly "very rough" hard to diagnose bike that i brought in. The receipt showing a standard tune up. And a pic of my crank that this shop filed down the teeth on and gave back to me as good to go.

Leah, Moe and the crew here are excellent with customer service. They really know their stuff. We rented fat tire bikes and had a great experience with them. Can’t wait to rent from you again. Thanks!

Always amazing experience & service! We get most all of our skiing & biking gear at Backcountry. The Backcountry crew (+ big shout out to Leah) fixed my kid’s skate boot—above and beyond. Ordered the parts, etc.

The crew in there was awesome. They quickly took care of a brake lever repair for us, and were very friendly and helpful with trail advice. Also, we bought a helmet that was on sale and accidentally were rung up at full price. I didn't notice but an hour or so later I got a call and they refunded the difference. Great experience.
