We met Eliza when touring a venue for our wedding that required everything to be brought in. She did not sell us on anything and when we were asking about how the set up would be, she shared that she had experience at this venue and that she was a planner. We followed up to see what wedding planning packages she had and safe to say this was the best decision made.

Eliza, Tammy + Team provided the full service for our wedding. We hired them for planning, design, coordination, rentals, and florals and it made life so much easier. I had the best experience with Eliza and team with our weekly meetings for a few months to align on all the details. She understand and appreciated our mixed cultural background and how we wanted to incorporate elements of this for a Persian and Vietnamese wedding.

I have always heard wedding planning to be stressful but safe to say my experience was the best and the day of the wedding went beautifully. Nothing ever goes to plan and I'm really happy Eliza and her team are experienced enough to adjust to last minutes changes such as guest no shows, etc.

She captured our vision perfectly and I'm already thinking of future events I would plan with Bel Events again!

Eliza and her team are amazing!! They worked hang in hand with us every step of the way to ensure we had our dream wedding. We had weekly meetings to make sure everything was moving forward smoothly, and helped with all our vendors and hotel needs. On the night before, BEL events even came to our venue to ensure the setup was exactly what we wanted, and made sure any issues were resolved. Throughout our wedding everyone was so impressed by how well organized everything was. They are A+++ and look forward to working with them for our future events.

Shame on me...should have been more careful. Should have paid more attention to the reviews on Yelp. But, since the (large) company I worked for had used BEL and had no issues, I went ahead and took the plunge.

BIG MISTAKE. HUGE.

Perhaps if you are planning a big event or are a large company, things will go smoothly, and you'll love this company.

If, like me, you are a 'little guy', beware.

We all know how stressful it can be to plan any event...when that event is a party celebrating a family member's 21st birthday, well...

Things started off really well. Great responsiveness. They worked with me on what I wanted, got it all confirmed and, of course, paid for.

Then came the big day. Delivery between 8:00 am and noon. I had made it very clear I needed the table, linens and chairs by noon and they committed to having them to me. Reservation paperwork even says so.

First call at 11:30...just to see if I could get some sort of status as I was, I'll admit, starting to get a bit nervous. No answer, left vmail. Next call at 12:15...no answer, left vmail. Emailed (at 12:30) my salesperson and, I assume, the owner. No response.

They showed up just after 1:30. Table, check. Tablecloth, check. Chairs...nope. Well, sure, they brought chairs. Really odd looking, clear plastic chairs. Not the gold Chiavari chairs to go with the black cushions that I paid for as my decorating theme was black and gold. Oh, to be fair, they did bring the black cushions.

Guy on the truck calls someone...says yes, yes the Chiavari chairs are on his list but not on his truck. Then he tells me, they have them and will "get them right over".

Next call at 3:20. No answer, left vmail. Next call at 4:15. No answer, left vmail.

Keep in mind, my dinner party is supposed to start at 6:00 pm.

Next call at 5:07. No answer, left vmail. Next call at 5:39. No answer, left vmail.

Instead of the gold and black chairs to go with my lovely table, I ended up - thank goodness for my neighbor - with 10, mismatched, folding card table chairs.

It's now 2:45 pm the Monday after my Saturday event and they still have yet to contact me to explain what happened, apologize, offer any kind of refund (hah).

And, I still have the table, linens and cushions as they were a no show in the 8:00 am to 5:00 pm window they gave themselves for pick up.

Bottom line...be careful. Be certain. If you're small, walk - nope, RUN - away.

I had a pleasure working with Bel event productions for a birthday party. They do everything to make your dreams come through. They worked late hours to make sure all is perfect. Eliza is the most hard worker person I have ever met.

The worst, most unorganized, incompetent, unprofessional planner ever hired. Just a bunch of empty promises. We’ve done 3 weddings in the past and have never experienced what we went through with Eliza Niaki and Bel Events. We hired Eliza for our wedding because she was the main coordinator at our wedding venue. She “knows the venue like the palm of her hand.” She made us feel very assured and comfortable leading up to the wedding. We met up with her multiple times prior to the wedding and discussed all the details and we were very confident Eliza was gonna deliver our dream wedding to us. Only to arrive to the venue the day of at 2:30PM to a complete disaster.
We got to the venue to take photos as any couple does on their wedding day, except NOTHING was ready. Trucks and workers were all over the place. The venue looked like a warehouse with boxes and zip ties covering the floor, and nothing was as promised. All of the bride and groom and family photos were taken on an empty balcony, not with the decor we paid a fortune for.
When my parents arrived at 4PM, valet had already told them to wait 10 minutes, even though no guests had arrived yet; the beginning of a disastrous parking situation because Eliza had all the vendors park in the guest lot. Our guests had to wait over 45 minutes to valet their cars, which delayed the event by 2 hours.
My dad, rightfully frustrated by the series of mishaps, tried to address these issues with Eliza, and instead of addressing the concerns professionally, she threatened to leave.
Eliza also showed a complete lack of coordination with vendors, leading to unnecessary charges for items that were never required. Her inability to manage the vendors and communicate effectively is evident and disappointing.
But the most upsetting part was the few hours that were taken away from us on our special day. Besides the valet situation, the reception decor wasn’t complete until 7:30PM. The event started at 5:30PM. 2 hours after the event started!!!!! Setup was happening as guests were arriving, which is absolutely unacceptable and embarrassing. Aside from being 2 hours behind schedule, Eliza also told the DJ to shut off music an hour early. Which took away 3 hours from a 7 hour event, almost half.
There’s so much more to say but I also have to note the complaints I got from my guests about how rude Eliza was to them. This is completely unacceptable in any circumstance, especially from your wedding coordinator.
After ruining a priceless/ irreplaceable event, we met with Eliza to express to her how unhappy we were because of everything that went wrong on our special day, and she responded with, “get the hell out of my office”. Tells you a lot about someone’s character when they can’t handle any feedback.
