For a small town this is one of the best public parks I have seen. It has plenty to satisfy most outdoor park goers. It has a nice paved walking trail, a small water park, catch and release fishing lake, picnic tables, small relaxing stream running the length of the park, a covered bridge, restrooms and other amenities. I was really surprised on my first trip and I will certainly be returning.

♿️ This is a beautiful park right in the middle of Springville. There is so much to see that nothing about your walk will be boring. Completely accessible for everyone, the entire path is paved. There are so many different parts that I'm not sure I got it all. There is a foursquare court, a volleyball net with sand and benches, and 2 stocked ponds for fishing. There are benches everywhere and so many beautiful flowers. There are not a lot of shaded areas, but there are a few.
A splash pad and huge playground to keep the kids occupied and having a good time. There were also kids playing in the Big Spring, for which the park is named. My favorite was the boat with toy dinosaurs (I think thats what they were), keeping it balanced in the middle of the lake.
Walking further into the park, you will find a hidden little nook, where 2 springs run together and it's quiet, has a bench, and is close to the bridge where the train crosses. If you sit long enough, you'll see one pass by. Great place to rest, think, meditate, or just forget your problems for a while. It's shaded back here, too.
There were 2 mallards swimming in the deeper parts of the creek along with some of the kids.
Going back onto the path, you'll come to the splash pad and playground entrance that is all fenced, so no runaway little ones and a bridge. Cross the bridge, and there is a fenced dog park area with a WWII tank right in the middle, separating the large and small dogs. There are bags available to clean up after your pup, which is nice they are available. It was also an Eagle project. I have started noticing these projects quite a bit at every park I have visited.
The Senior Center is also back here and has a very large parking lot. It's gravel, but there are quite a few handicap spots both in front of one of the entrances to the park and the Senior Center.
Going back into the park, I noticed the memorials to the veterans and the flags. There were 2 separate memorials.
I looked at the flower beds and then noticed they have public air conditioned restrooms, ♿️accessible, and an AED, which is something I had only seen in Mtn.Brook and Homewood parks.
There was a drink machine to purchase sodas. I also noticed they have people on staff at the splash pad and allow people from anywhere to come play. There is a small fee, but most parks only allow residents of their town or city.
This is just a beautiful place. I had not been to Springville in years, and it is really nice to see all of the improvements being made. Great park for adults and kids alike. 10/10 for accessibility and things to do.

Such a wonderful experience here , it’s a beautiful and peaceful park, enjoyed my 1 hour jogging here and noticed so many families brings kids here to let them play. I also noticed 2 cops also here on duty for safety purposes. Overall thumbs up for the county to provide a amazing park to the public ?

The city has done great things to help renovate this park! They have upgraded the playground and built a splash pad. There is now to fenced in dog areas. As well the walking trail now has workout activities. A great place to spend an afternoon with your family or a midday picnic.

We stopped here to eat our fast food breakfast in the picnic area. The restrooms were clean but it's lucky that I had extra napkins from the restaurant, because there was no toilet paper in either the men's or ladies' bathrooms. The stream and spring are beautiful and it is a nice place to take a family to picnic, hike and see nature..There is a playground for kids and some exercise equipment as well as a monument dedicated to purple heart ? recipients. It is free too and I definitely recommend it!

We had my grandson's third birthday party at the Splash Pad. It was a nice park! It was well kept, with chaperones at the entrance, and tables for food/gifts. There were bathrooms close by and plenty of parking! The kids had a wonderful time for the two hours we reserved the space. There were many more things to do in the park outside of the Splash Pad. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place for a kids party, or just a day out with the kids!
