Like the park! My daughter and I had a nice walk today, enjoying the cloudy weather. A little pond with turtles, a huge tree full of birds sitting there, maze, playground.
A library is here, and it could be a great addition to a walk next time.

Peaceful park. If you’re not from the area it is very easy to miss. Hidden away behind the library you’ll find this cute little park. All of the statues and birdhouses were well taken care of.
Park was clean and the boardwalk on the pond was freshly built and a nice addition to the area.

Great for a quick picnic too!

I went for a photography walk here yesterday morning, just after sunrise; the park is clean, and just behind the library (and additional perk), with some very cooperative models (the geese).
I recommend it if you want a nice walk, and also want to go to the library or are in the surrounding area.

Small park behind the library in Ponte Vedra Beach. Good for a walk around the park or seeing some birds or turtles. The parking lot is directly behind the library in front of the park entrance. Really taking my time, I walked around the park twice, which includes going around the small lake, in under a half hour. The island has nesting birds and when I went there were young birds not ready to leave the nest visible from the deck along the edge of the water.

Bird Island Park is always 'Turtle Island' to my family because of the many species of turtles that call the park home. They are spiny softshells, yellow bellies, red eared sliders, and mud turtles. As you walk around the lake, the turtles are easily visible. There's a paved/wood walking path, turtles shaped maze, and a small, shaded playground all right behind the Ponte Vedra Library. The parking lot is shared, but I've never had an issue finding parking.
