My wife and I had a fantastic overnight Max Patch hike in August and highly recommend BRHC! Our guide, Amy, was friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and an overall joy to be around. We learned a lot from her and she made us want to spend more time on the AT. The pre-trip communication was key to making sure we were prepared for the hike and they outfitted us well. Whether your new to hiking or a seasoned trekker, BRHC is an excellent choice for your next adventure.

I would highly recommend the Blue ridge hiking company! I especially appreciated the assistance from Melissa in coordinating my hike and Amy H. as my guide. they both were easy to work with, very knowledgeable, just everything you would hope for when trying to learn about a new area to hike in western NC. I was grateful to be able to bring both my dogs along for our two day hikes, which was great. Amy made sure we were safe and helped pick sections to hike on that were dog friendly but also very scenic and a good fit for my fitness level. With Amy as my guide I was able to see more remote parts of the Art Loeb trail as well as the summit of John Rock, really special places and memories I can take with me for a long time. Amy shared some of her knowledge and experience about the local flora/fauna and took me to see some really cool waterfalls some of which were off the beaten path, places I would’ve never found or knew existed on my own. I think this is where the blue ridge hiking company really offers a top of the line experience and we should all be grateful for their service and dedication to helping create a safe and enjoyable time outdoors. I had the BEST backpacking trip with Blue Ridge! Went on the SEP2024 Max Patch to Hot Springs NC, 3 day/20 mile, Womens trip with guide Hannah and it was perfect! Moderate difficulty. Great pre-trip communication, quality gear, plenty of food and snacks. Highly recommend!!!

We really enjoyed our private half day hike with Bev! She tooks us to the Waterfalls at Dupont forest and it has been a great tour with her. Thank you for guiding us and showing us your lovely nature. Stay as you are.

I just finished up a 5 day 4 night 44 mile backpacking trip with blue ridge and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Our guide was Jenna and she was so inspirational and knowledgeable about the Appalachian trail. I am now completely inspired and planning a 2025 thru hike of the AT. Just book the trip you won’t regret it!

Had the best time on the Women’s Roan Highlands backpacking trip!! Our guide, Amy, was INCREDIBLE! We had a great time and while it was challenging, I felt supported every step of the way. I cannot recommend Blue Ridge Hiking Co. enough! I will definitely be back again for another trip!

I had a wonderful experience with Blue Ridge hiking the Roan Highlands. Hannah was a fantastic guide! She is experienced, knowledgeable and just a lot of fun. Every detail of the trip was carefully thought out. The scenery was so beautiful and a little fog in areas actually added to the beauty. I was traveling by myself and very fortunate to be with a great group of people for this trip. We had a lot of laughs together. This is my second trip with Blue Ridge Hiking Company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone from the seasoned hiker to the first timer. They will take great care of you. We just finished a 3 day backpacking trip with Amy, and she was a great guide who shared a lot of knowledge about the AT itself, which plants have medicinal uses and those to steer clear of, and hiking/backpacking in general. It was a hard trip but definitely rewarding, and we would do it again!
