This was a great find: An excellent museum hidden in a park in Brush. We had stopped for a picnic and saw the museum in the park. We were greeted warmly by the knowledgeable docent (or museum operator, she knows her history). The exhibits cover the history in the area very well. There are highlights of locals who have done well in the military and other walks of life. If you are in Brush, you really need to stop by.

It's a free museum. Hard to be critical when it's free. It's pretty small. You'll see everything in about 30 minutes. The main room is quite well done. The basement has just some military pictures of people related to Brush. Housed in an old schoolhouse. What's really nice is there is a very lovely park next door with just about everything you can think of to do. Might as well make a picnic out of it.

very good place to visit, not large, just around 15-20 mins visit. very good explanation, especially there are mammoth fossils over there; it's truly amazing.

AMAZING!! Whether or not you are from the area doesn't matter. Everything in the Brush Museum is awesome, beautifully exhibited and well maintained. Such a great job .. and it's FREE!
Take a minute or longer and browse all the memories of our past.

Such a sweet place to stop. There is a friendly face when you walk in. The history is very well represented in this free little museum. They even have an organ from 1918. Not bad for an old school house turned museum. I love to see places like this.

My kiddos and I just love small town museums! This one was no different. The staff was friendly and helpful, there were some great articles about people in the community, a lot of artifacts relevant to the area. We haven't been to any of the events they host but will be watching for them now that we've had the opportunity to visit. Thank you!

Folksy, very warm-hearted people.

Sometimes they're having card games or sack lunch with this historian tellng a story.

Saturdays and Sundays we have a cultural get together where we can play cards play chess card games dance play with musical instruments.

It is; very interactive and laid-back.
