I had a rather pleasant albeit short experience there. I've long since forgotten how loud card shops can be so I was initially given a bit of a sensory shock, but if anything that shows how well loved this little gem of a place is. Their web shopping and in store pickup experience was both smooth and prompt, will happily make future local purchases here, and hopefully show up in a less eardrum demanding hour of operation.

I came in tonight looking to get my husband a few MTG packs and didn’t enjoy my experience. I haven’t been into the store because I don’t play myself. Eddie was very blunt and I was taken back by how he approached me and spoke to me. Unfortunately, I will not be back in to purchase anything again because of this visit.

Update: I tried again because they’re having their blackfriday sale. I can not thank Declan enough for their help! Again I do not know anything about MTG, but they offered help and we ended up getting some good pulls out of a collector booster pack that they recommended! I did avoid Eddie’s line though.

Kinda shady practice.
Went for the Black Friday deal, bought a innistrad draft booster 30% off with another 10% off for military discount and a duskmourn collector box.
The price of the innistrad box was about the same as you’d buy it online, after all those discounts (40%). The base price of the box is $129.99 in store, $95 on Amazon, and $83 on TCGplayer player. The price I bought it for in store, ~$78.
Felt extremely dishonest. Not exactly a deal as it would seem.
Disappointing cause I’ll always prefer supporting a brick and mortar store and the community they cultivate, but it felt like something I would never expect from a well respected store like this one.
If you’d like to support the location, all power to you.
If you want to spend less buying boxes, online might be your best bet.
Or just buy singles.
(Some packs look damaged in box but that may just be a manufacturer defect)

Great community and customer service on most days though!

Fair prices if you are looking for somewhere to sell your cards. Employees are nice. Only problem is that they confirm the amount they are willing to pay but then say they don't have the cash when you arrive and want to give you a check. I have no physical bank and I don't want to wait 7-14 days for a check to clear. Besides that they are great!

Very disappointed with the way we were treated. My friends and I came down from very far to visit our friend who lived in San Diego and were having a good time playing magic with them. We were having a great time until we were rudely told to pack up our things. We were sitting at a table that was going to be used for a draft or something similar to it, so I understand that we had to move, but to raise your voice for all to hear throughout the store and say, “Hey, you 6 need to clean up your things now.” was embarrassing and ruined an almost perfect day. We didn’t bother to change our tables, we just packed up our things and left. I hope this isn’t how service typically is because this experience was bad enough for me to leave this review.

It's ok. The store itself is beautiful and very well organized. Just don't bother asking the staff for help. They don't really care or know their inventory. There was only one worker who was good and she helped us find some things we needed. This store seems to be catered towards regulars only.
