100% worth it! So glad we visited during our short stay in Santa Barbara. Quick 15 minutes from downtown. It’s a one hour tour and worth every second. The owner takes you through the female alpacas first where you get to free them. Each person gets a bowl of pellets and spreads out to feed their alpaca. She then takes you through the male ones to feed with carrots. There are some llamas there as well along with a goat, sheep, water buffalo, and peacocks. Roaming around all the beautiful animals was amazing. Such personalities. We loved it! We were surprised how many Santa Barbarians don’t know about this place. We want to bring the whole family back!

Wow, the alpaca tour was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had (and I’ve had many wildlife encounters and been to many zoos and sanctuaries around the world). The alpacas were so adorable, fluffy, and friendly. They graze in a huge open space and will be eager to nibble on the pellets 🙂 You can also bring a cute souvenir back home from the gift shop!
I can not wait to go back again. Thank you so much for this incredible experience! Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting California!

Our kids absolutely loved feeding and petting the alpacas (there was a one-month old baby that was adorable!!). We also saw peacocks, chickens, and a water Buffalo! We decided to stay for a picnic with the ocean as backdrop. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Overall, a fantastic experience for kids and adults.

Have you ever wanted to hang out with some Alpacas, pet them and feed them carrots? Well this is the place to do it. Great setting, facilities could use a little updating, and staff was very nice. They even have a very nice shop get you favorite Alpaca accessories. Close to Santa Barbara and even closer to Carpentria.

One suggestion to make people feel a little more welcome, especially on those hot summer days: offer the guests some ice water or a cold glass of lemonade before and after the tour. Also clean off the deck so there is not so much dust and so many cobwebs everywhere.

This place is incredible! If you are in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area, definitely stop by at the Canzelle Alpaca Farm. It is an hour full of alpaca cuteness overload. The experience will definitely leave you smiling for days!

?This endearing alpaca farm in the Carpinteria countryside is worth a day trip! I took my daughter and her friend here for lots of fluffy alpaca cuddles & kisses. They also have a few other animals and a charming gift store. We will come here again - it was a hit! You can pair it with a Carpinteria City beach visit, stroll along Linden Ave and enjoy a casual lunch.

One of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long time. Celebrated my 40th birthday here with friends and was not disappointed.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Willing to answer any and all questions you have about the animals.

The alpacas are just too adorable for words. We were lucky to have some babies on site during our tour. So cute!!

Highly recommend for all ages. This place feels like you’re part of the farm family. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop for super cute souvenirs!!
