My daughter and I shared our first experience with Captain Yak over Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed an incredible experience under Greg’s guidance. Hands down a fantastic excursion to enjoy some of Florida’s beautiful nature and we will definitely do this again!

Took a kayaking trip with Greg this week and cannot say enough about our positive experience! He was exceptionally knowledgeable, prepared, and flexible with our group. He was very accommodating for our needs, even bringing along bug spray, dry bags, and a water pump to rinse your feet and shoes. This tour is a great value and I can’t recommend it enough!

Our family of 6 took the 3 hr Shell Key Preserve tour in December and we all had a great time. The kayaks were high quality and easy to navigate. The Captain reviewed all the necessary safety information. The tour was the perfect length. The paddling was never difficult and we stopped mid way to stretch our legs on the island. Meandering through the mangroves was the best part! He also provided a lot of cool information about the preserve and the wildlife and marine life in the area. Oh, and we saw a bald eagle! We went in the morning, which is recommend, especially if you want less sun exposure. Perfect way to spend a half day. HIGHLY recommend!

Can’t say enough good about Capt Yak! Greg is a terrific guy! Excellent with communication and super friendly. The kayak was great and the price was super reasonable. Perfect location for a casual float through the bay or for visiting Shell Key. I’ll be back very soon.

I highly recommend going on a kayak tour with Greg especially if you've never been to Florida before like myself. He has a wealth of knowledge about the area including the history, wildlife, and ecology. The mangroves are truly an amazing experience in a kayak and Shell Key is beautiful.

We rented tandem and single kayaks for an afternoon and had an awesome time fishing and exploring shell key! We were provided with everything we needed including suggestions and tips on where to paddle. The process of renting the kayaks was easy and efficient, and the owner was very nice and helpful. Very fun experience for the whole family, highly recommend!

My husband and I did the morning excursion to Shell Key and had a great time. I had only kayaked once before and didn't have any trouble. We took our time and got to see both dolphins and manatees. Kayaking through the mangrove tunnels was a really neat experience. Greg was an awesome guide and told us all about the local wildlife. We would recommend anyone visiting the area take the tour and if we are ever back in the area we want to do it again!

My husband and I greatly enjoyed this tour! I was 27 weeks pregnant but we went on the tandem kayak and it was very comfortable. We saw dolphins very close up along with birds and fish. Awesome tour, would recommend!
