The trails in Chaplin Nature Center are well-maintained and well-marked. With a map in hand, it would be hard to get lost. The limestone markers at every intersection make navigation simple. The giant chair just of the River Trail was a fun surprise. With the right wheels, the trails could be wheelchair accessible, but I'm not sure about that. The visitors center has lots of educational exhibits. It's only open till 5:00pm. The park is open till sunset.

Chaplin Nature Center has shaded walking trails and you can walk down to the Arkansas river. This year there were a lot of plants along the river so it was not the sandy beach area it had been in previous years, but my kids and I waded through the plants to get to the river and they enjoyed wading in the river. My daughter is an avid birdwatcher and she was excited to see a bird she's never seen before, while we were hiking on the trail.

Well marked trails, clear paths, decent signage directing us to the center, beautiful scenery, strategically placed benches and table for breaks, we'll definitely return in the spring

Great place to hike. Lots of try cover. They have done a very good job with this place. Trails are well maintained. Multiple benches to stop if needed. This has become my new top place to hike. Equal to Top Mound Trail at Elk City Lake if not better.

We visited this place for the first time and it was worth the little drive. Great, well maintained walking trails with lots of scenery. The center has a lot of interesting information about the local critters that can be seen/found while on your walks. I would recommend a visit, especially if you're looking for someplace to get a little exercise, fresh air & nature.

Great little nature center and walking area. Lots of information about the area and some small activities available for kids in the main room. A side room has a bird watching window with binoculars for kids and adults. The walk paths are great and it all adds up to an excellent opportunity to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the local flora and, if you're lucky, fauna as well.

We had a great time here. The trails are in good shape and easy to see! Beautiful scenery, and great sand bar right on the river! Will definitely be back!
