If you used to visit the Stone Mountain Park playground in the 80s and 90s when you were a kid and are wanting to go back with your own kids now for the nostalgia, I'm sorry to tell you this is not the same playground. The old one was wooden and has been torn down but the new one has a lot of fun things to climb on too. The best part of this playground is that it has very large shady trees covering most of the playground and benches throughout. My kids had fun here. Plenty of picnic tables too.

This is the second time I've been. It was a nice structure, the grounds could be maintained a bit better. Not really a place to sit comfortably to picnic.
We got caught in the rain and was kinda surprised with the weather siren on top of the pavilion going off for a rain storm. But it's better to be safe than sorry.

This playground is awesome for children four and older. They have a ropes course that even the adults were testing out. Lots of shade and the ground is wood chips.

Child had a blast. There was plenty of different things to play on even with quite a few children there. There are a lot of benches, including quite a few in the shade, as well as places to picnic for the adults.
It is also a Pokémon Go gym location ?

It was nice and relaxing. The park could be maintained a bit better but for the most part it was a nice area for the kids to play and for adults to sit and relax. We brought a picnic with us and there’s plenty seating areas.
