Right off the exit so most stop. Carolyn was my guide who grew up as a sharecropper and a wealth of history! From picking to industrialization to products I never knew came from a cotton plant.

It's just a great tour. Easy on / off the freeway, and the docent was very knowledgeable of the cotton process. It’s not large, so the site/ tour is on the shorter side but perfect for a basic overall understanding of cotton. I had no idea how fascinating the history of cotton was. The docent’s family worked in the cotton industry, so put a good perspective on what how it was picked and processed. It's definitely worth a stop.

Loved visiting this museum. It’s small, but Earl is an absolutely pleasure to learn from. He’s so knowledgeable, friendly and made the museum so fun for my kids. Definitely recommend to stop by and visit.

A historic museum in Georgia when you are on your way to or from Atlanta. It is open Wed to Fri 10am to 4pm. Ms. Christine Kingdom gave us a very informative tour. There is always something new you will learn about cotton in this museum. Note that the focus is on the history and processing of cotton in the South and nothing about the slavery and injustice to African Americans.

We spent a good amount of time with Mrs. Christine Kingdom learning about cotton. She is the new curator of the museum. She has first hand experience of picking cotton and growing up in he south. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. She very graciously shared bits of her life experience with us and we are so grateful. She left a warm impression on our hearts. *The museum is free.

Hands down the BEST part of this museum is Mr. Earl, the gentleman that works there. The museum itself has a great collection of items, photographs, and documents, but when you combine that with Mr. Earl's stories, it makes the cotton industry come to life. The museum itself is not very big, so it makes for an easy visit. If you are in the area and have a free hour or so, I highly recommend stopping in.

I should’ve called a whole day before traveling 100 miles just to see a note on the door when I arrived at 9:20am. Update closing on your site if you’re NOT going to open.
